With manufacturers trying to make bezel-free smartphones, the dreaded notch has become the most popular way to install front-facing selfie cameras. We're about to see an all-new design, though, it seems. Huawei has unveiled a teaser showing a circular camera cutout placed at the top left corner of the screen, spotted by Twitter user Ice Universe and see on Chinese social network Weibo. On top of that, Samsung's Galaxy A8S might have a similar design.

Got some time to kill at the office today? Steal some heavy weight paper from the supply closet and print out your very own Cubee cutouts of Mac and PC. The cutouts are designed by Jay Hauf, and they work best when you download the 1482 x 1173 versions and print them on heavy stock letter paper. For video instructions on how to assemble your Cubees, see here. If you get bored recreating all 66 Get a Mac ads, you can mix it up a little by downloading the Steve Jobs Cubee cutout (which, IMO, looks a lot like a square version of Stewie Griffin when assembled). Now, get back to work! [via iPhoneSavior]

I love this -- papercraft artist Jay Hauf has constructed a little papercraft Steve Jobs cutout. Over on his Flickr account, he's posted a picture that you can print out, cut out, and then fold up into the form of our favorite CEO. The little figure even comes with a paper iPhone, though I guess if you want (and if you're a little skilled with Photoshop), you could put an iPad or another Apple product in there. It does look pretty great -- somehow, even with that big blockhead and all of the other weird shapes on the "Cubee," those eyes and that black turtleneck with jeans make it clear right away who you're looking at. Excellent work there. [via iPhone Savior]

Finally, your lovingly prepared SNES model is getting some well-heeled new friends to hang out with. Cubeecraft is a website wholly dedicated to the paper-based recreation of cultural icons, and it's prepared a pair of exquisitely detailed clones of the NES and Dreamcast. While some such projects might require patience and finesse, putting together the above templates doesn't even ask for any glue or tape. So what are you waiting for, grab your scissors and run to the links below for full 150dpi printouts -- just be sure to make the time for some imaginary Contra action afterwards.[Via Technabob]Read - NES cutoutRead - DC cutout
