This article has been brought to you by Seed, the Aol guest writer program that brings your words to WoW Insider's pages. Welcome to part 5 of the epic guide to Cataclysm daily quests! Previously, we discussed profession dailies, Therazane dailies, Tol Barad permanent dailies, and Tol Barad dailies received by the faction in control of Tol Barad. Today, we'll wrap up the last few dailies in Uldum and Twilight Highlands and then discuss getting the most out of your Cataclysm daily limit. Uldum dailies There are only two dailies in Uldum, one infinitely preferable to the other. The first is a short, sweet, entertaining quest called Thieving Little Pluckers. It's fast, fun to do, located near the center of Uldum where you port in, and awards 150 reputation with Ramkahen, otherwise known as the guys who'll sell you a camel when you hit exalted. The other, Fire From the Sky, is the daily version of the quest by the same name that is part of the Harrison Jones quest line. This was hands down the most broken, miserable quest I had to do on my way to 85. It involves using a cannon vehicle to shoot slow-moving bombs at tiny, moving soldiers on a large map. Initially, all players shared the available mobs; grouped players' kills did not count for other group members; and worst, you couldn't see any bombs except your own. The group you'd been oh so carefully targeting would blow up seconds before your bomb hit, leading to massive nerd rage. Luckily, this has been hotfixed. Mobs are still shared, but group kills count for everyone, and all players' bomb targets are visible on the map. I still advise skipping it as soon as you get the associated achievement.

  • A Quota of Quests

The big Guild Wars 4th Anniversary patch arrived a few days ago and brought all sorts of presents for the currently playing pseudo-subscribership, including a special island for Rangers to keep their pets on, new equipment packs for weapon and armour storage, extra unlockable bank box tabs, character makeover services and more, along with the reactivation of various festival mini-games during the anniversary festivities.Perhaps the most significant of the new features added this patch was the introduction of the new Zaishen Challenge Quests at the Great Temple of Balthazar. Three new banners now offer tasks which change every day; a particular highlighted mission, a bounty on a specific named boss, and a specified type of PvP challenge. In exchange for completing these tasks, new Zaishen Coins are offered, which can be exchanged for item rewards of varying quality. Daily Quests have arrived in Guild Wars.

  • Disenchanting for friends and the Sunwell

So Leafshine has a problem: She's got way too much stuff to disenchant. Her friends have been sending her things to disenchant for quite some time, letting her keep the ingredients. But now there's two things different: They're sending her droves of level 70 items, and they want the materials back. If you've played the level 70 game and done the Shattered Sun Offensive dailies, you probably know where this is going. On a good day, doing the complete Outland daily circle, I can come out with somewhere around 10 disenchant-worthy items between regular drops and Shattered Sun Supplies. Leafshine says she can sometimes spend up to 10 minutes working on Disenchanting, and I can believe it. Every time I process a batch of greens on my disenchanter, not only does it take some time to get through with them, then I have to process multiple piles of reagents, and figure if I'm going to store them, sell them, or use them to make a tailoring blue which I will then disenchant into a shard. If added disenchanting for friends in there, I could spend all the day disenchanting. I have to commend Leafshine for putting up with it, and I don't think it would be a bad idea to start charging a disenchant fee - even if it's as simple as taking a cut of the materials. It's one thing to expect a disenchanter to be ready to disenchant dungeon blues that no-one needs, but it seems like another to mail your stuff to them and expect them to take their time to disenchant it free of charge. I know that friends should help each other out with tradeskill stuff, but there's a limit. Yeah, we're friends, we've raided together, but if I expect you to take 10 minutes out of your play time to help me out, throwing you some gold for your time seems like nothing more than common courtesy.

  • You shall not evade me, Kaliri!

After taking a summer break from WoW, I returned to discover the joys of Daily Quests. I have limited play time and these daily quests go a long way in helping me towards that mythical 5,000 gold that will grant me epic druid Flight Form. Well, 5kg and some quest or something.Taking to the skies of Skettis, I went out to bomb those wriggling bird eggs with glee. Until a monstrous Kaliri bird swooped in to knock me off my perch, so to speak. Landing on a platform, I shifted into cat form, ready to show that overgrown parakeet why it shouldn't mess with its feline superior. I powered up my +atk trinket and let loose with a flurry of combos designed to bring any solo mob to a quick, bloody end. Imagine my surprise when I realized the Kaliri's health remained at full as a stream of EVADE EVADE EVADE messages floated across my screen. Some bug in the game mechanics allowed these birds to evade attacks. Since then, I've learned to out fly them (upwards), but I have the advantage of not being dismounted in druid flight form by their Swoop attack.Revenge, however, is arriving shortly in the next patch. Today, Community Manager Drysc confirmed the Kaliri evasion bug will be fixed in Patch 2.2. After that, it will be easy to spot me on the platforms of Skettis. I'll be the Night Elf with orange feathers in his mouth.

  • Your daily dose of questing

It's been a while since the daily quests were introduced with patch 2.1 on the live servers now, and most players have had time to at least give them a try. So what do you think?Personally, I really like them-- it gives me a chance when I log in to spend just a few minutes picking up a nice, guaranteed chunk of gold and rep. When we first heard about them, hardcore players were unhappy that they'd be forced to follow a daily schedule, but ten daily quests seems like a lot to do a day anyway (especially when you consider everything else there is to do in-game), and most hardcore players have probably finished all the daily quest rep grinds anyway-- I know a few of my guildies already have all the mounts and rewards available.Have you not touched the daily quests yet, or do you do them every day? And which ones are you all working on-- I've liked the Fires over Skettis eggsplosion quest (and I get better at dodging those dumb birds every day that I do it), but I'm looking forward to staring up the Netherwing herbalist quest next. How are daily quests working out for you?

  • The origin of daily questlines

When isobelle over at Not Addicted wrote in tipping us to a story she had written about the daily questlines, I was curious. It wasn't until I actually read the thing that I saw the pure genius of it. I ended up reading the piece aloud, although several times this devolved into a fit of giggles, so I'm not sure what rating my performance would have been given. Many people have lauded the daily questlines, as a source of income, a great way to slow down the rep grinding fast-trackers, an innovation in the quest design genre. I haven't been able to get to the point of completing the daily quests yet, the Spellstrike set still has me in its clutches (so close!) So take a few minutes and read isobelle's work, but beware some acerbic wit, more than a little sarcasm, and some very blue, yet hilarious, language.
