Live from Sprint's 'Industry First' event with Dan Hesse and... David Blaine
We're not exactly sure what kind of rabbit Sprint CEO Dan Hesse is planning to pull out of his hat here in New York tonight, but Sprint says it'll be an "industry first" and David Blaine is scheduled to appear, so we're definitely curious -- and hey, snacks. So what's it going to be? Unlimited multi-device data plans? That dualscreen Kyocera Echo which leaked a bit last night? David Blaine revealing Dan Hesse is actually a murderous robot from the future? We'll find out when things kick off at 6PM ET.
Sprint promises 'industry first' at February 7th event
Let's just end the speculation right here: a Sprint-locked CDMA iPhone on the heels of Verizon's wouldn't be much of an "industry first," so we're thinking that whatever the company has to unveil on the evening of February 7th in New York will be of a very different flavor. The event invite goes on to say that they'll show "that the impossible is possible," which could very well mean the Epic 4G is getting Froyo. Burn! Also look for guest David Blaine to hold his breath in a tank of things that bite for 45 minutes or so, which will make for an awesome liveblog (yes, we'll be there).

What we're watching: Prison Break and 24 are on and in action tonight, notable because they might finally break out of prison (how can a show called Prison Break not actually have a break out yet? That would be as though they called Lost "Found") and on 24 the President may shoot down a jet just to kill Jack Bauer (impossible).On TNT we have second round action kicking off between the Clippers/Suns and Nets/Heat so you know what you're getting there. The X-factor tonight is street magician/stuntman/demonically possessed David Blaine's attempt to break the world record for holding his breath underwater on ABC. We'll go out on a limb and say there's some sort of trick to it. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.
