ASUS can't help itself, debuts Eee PC 904 HD
As if ASUS's Eee PC line wasn't already crowded enough, the company has now seen fit to debut a new Eee PC 904 HD model in addition to the three other 900-series units that made themselves known only yesterday. Contrary to what you may suspect, however, this particular model doesn't boast a full HD resolution, but rather a standard hard drive in place of a solid state option. Otherwise, it seems you can expect the same 8.9-inch display in 10-inch size casing as the regular 904, although there's unfortunately no word on the size of that hard drive, or any other specs for that matter. ASUS did confirm that it'd be the cheapest model in the new range though, with it coming in at £250 (or just under $500, and no doubt less minus the VAT and whatnot).[Thanks, Ben]
The Eee PC 903, 904, and 905 make their unofficial debut
The non-stop barrage of Eee-branded gear from ASUS continues on today, with the first appearance of the Eee PC 903, 904 (above), and 905. It's not clear exactly what the differences between the three models are, but as we've heard, they're all basically the Eee PC 901's Atom-based guts shoved into the Eee PC 1000's case -- which means you're getting a larger keyboard, but the 8.9-inch display will have a pretty significant bezel around it. As before, final specs and pricing aren't available, but since these are destined to replace the 900 and 901, we'd expect pricing to remain in the $600 range.[Thanks, Sascha]Read - Eee 903Read - Eee 904 and 905
ASUS' bigger, badder Eee PC 904 and 905 in the chute?
The price isn't the only thing swelling on ASUS' Eee PC. According to DigiTimes' proven ASUS sources, bigger Eee PC 904 and 905 models are cueing up for release. In a return to the Eee PC salad days of the big bezel, the new models will slot the same 8.9-inch display found in the 901 into a larger, Eee PC 1000-esque chassis with proportionally larger keyboard. Decisions about battery and storage have not yet been finalized although the new models would be priced similar to the 900 and 901 which they would ultimately replace.
