Those fortunate enough to be in a FiOS region have enjoyed the NFL's RedZone channel for years now, and those with iPads have been able to stream some of that content to their tablet since 2010. Viewing the NFL online, however, right in a desktop browser, has proven to be nearly impossible. Blame it on popularity, licensing, piracy concerns -- whatever -- but it seems that football fanatics now have one more reason to relocate to one of Verizon's 13 FiOS-ified states. The addition of "Watch NFL Network" to FiOS TV Online gives FiOS customers who receive NFL Network and NFL RedZone as part of their TV package the ability to view programming online from the two channels from anywhere in the US, with a broadband connection. That also includes streaming access to full Thursday Night Football games, NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay, NFL AM and more. Live streaming of NFL RedZone will be made available each Sunday during the regular season, and while we wouldn't get our hopes up too high just yet, we can't help but be encouraged. Hans Schroeder, senior vice president of media strategy and development for the NFL, said: "This authentication agreement with Verizon is part of a larger NFL Media initiative to deliver NFL content to fans and consumers in as many ways possible." Perhaps you're talking about "more pay-TV providers," Mr. Schroeder?

Verizon FiOS subscribers can expect a few new channels in the lineup now that it's reached an agreement with Disney for ESPN content across a variety of channels and even devices. While ESPN 3D isn't scheduled for launch until 2011 (maybe in time for the BCS National Championship game, but too late to catch LeBron, Dwyane, Chris and those other guys take on the Knicks) ESPN Goal Line will go live on the 9th for Extreme HD and Ultimate HD package subscribers (except for D.C. and Harrisburg, PA) giving live look ins at all the college football games on Saturday. Playing further into Verizon's tablet plans, the agreement also means customers can watch ESPN live channels directly on PCs or other authenticated devices, mirroring an earlier agreement between ESPN and Time Warner. Beyond that there's a new Disney Junior channel on the way in 2010 plus Disney XD and ABC Family content coming to V Cast but we pretty much tuned out once we got past the sports part. Check the entire press release out after the break.

After picking up content from TNT and TBS back in March, Verizon has reached additional agreements with Time Warner Inc. to bring Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and TruTV on-demand channels to its FiOS TV Online service lineup. As per usual, each will offer a free selection of programming from their respective channel as soon as 24 hours after it has aired live, which in the case of Adult Swim shows like The Boondocks, The Venture Bros., Delocated, Childrens Hospital, and Metalocalypse should have already started to happen. Content from the Cartoon Network and TruTV however is currently slated to appear within the next month thanks to the deal. So for now waiting a few weeks to get your Hardcore Pawn fix on FiOS TV Online is both the reality and actuality of the situation folks. Can't stand it? Then bide your time by reading the PR below.

Verizon gave some FiOS subscribers access to on-demand content from TBS and TNT in its FiOS TV Online trials way back in August of last year, but the company has just now announced that it'll finally be launching the service for all FiOS TV customers sometime next month. That will thankfully be a free service, and will give you on-demand access to shows like The Closer, Southland, and Lopez Tonight in "HD video quality" within 24 hours after they air on television. As before, Verizon is also saying that it is working with other networks including CBS, MTV and Fox News to bring additional on-demand content to FiOS TV Online, but it's not going any further than to say that content is coming "soon." Full press release is after the break.

That smug FiOS guy wants you to know that Verizon has announced the launch of FiOS TV Online, extending your sitcom addiction to yet another screen with on-demand programming from TNT and TBS (with other providers coming "soon," apparently). If you thought watching Project Runway on your Motorola Krave was mind-blowing, wait until the latest Mark-Paul Gosselaar snoozefest is available any time, any day, on your laptop! Kind of makes Twitter widgets seem rather tame in comparison. Full PR after the break.
