Incubus gets the stage all to itself for next week's Rock Band DLC and they've only brought one song to play: "Drive." The track joins "Adolescents," "Dig," and "Wish You Were Here," which are already available to download.

  • Google adds Esperanto as its 64th machine translatable language

Esperanto isn't just something Microsoft uses to tease Google for abandoning video codecs, it's a legitimate, manufactured language. Created in the late 1800's by Dr. Ludwig L. Zamenhof, Esperanto was designed to be an easy to learn language that would help folks from all over the world understand each other. Seeing as how Google Translate shares similar goals, the Mountain View firm felt Zamenhof's homemade tongue would be the perfect fit for its machine translation service. Despite a rather small sample size of pre-existing translated material to feed the Google language machine, the firm says Google Translate handled Esperanto surprisingly well -- partially crediting the language's learner friendly construction for the service's success. Sure, it may not be the most useful addition Google Translate's ever seen, but hey, it gets us one step closer to watching cult classics like Incubus without the subtitles. What's that, you haven't heard of William Shatner's pre-Star Trek, all Esperanto romp? Crack open your machine translator and head past the break, then.

Did you ever look at your Rock Band music collection and think "Incubus, I wish you were here"? Of course you didn't, because that is really corny. But for those of you who felt similarly without resorting to awful references, three Incubus tracks will be available as Rock Band 3 DLC next week.

  • Stellar: Incubus track pack heading to Rock Band in August

Please, pardon us while we potentially spoil some of the Rock Band DLC offerings for August, but Incubus manager Steve Rennie already went ahead and did that on his Twitter feed. Responding to a fan request for info on Incubus tracks coming to Rock Band 3, Rennie replied, "August. 5 tracks 'Megalomaniac,' 'Pardon Me,' 'Stellar,' 'WYWH,' 'Adolescents.'" Harmonix weighed in on its own forums, which pegged the DLC as a three track pack instead, including "Adolescents," "Pardon Me," and "Wish You Were Here." The post added, "Not sure where those other two tracks came from (we may be talking with them about licensing them) but they're not part of the pack in August and they're not on the DLC spreadsheet in the near future." Fans will no doubt be happy to hear the news, as this will (bizarrely) be the first Incubus track pack for a Rock Band title. Previously, only "Drive" was available through Guitar Hero: World Tour., and "Dig" is in Lego Rock Band (exportable). We've reached out to Harmonix for pricing info and release date, but expect it to be around $5.50, given past pricing for three-song track packs. [Thanks Lewis and Sean!]

  • Incubus is the next band to have a video game

It seems like nowadays, unless you've got a video game starring your band, you're less a band and more a bunch of broke people hanging out -- Linkin Park proved that. Now, hot on its heels, Incubus has debuted its own Flash game: Incubattle. Incubattle is a beat-'em-up that takes heavy inspiration from last year's retro-inspired licensed title Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Picking one of the band's five members, you'll take to the streets and combat a whole platoon of pirates aiming to steal the band's latest album. We imagine that's an everyday occurrence when you're in a band people know. [Thanks, Lewis]
