As we noted when Netflix announced its expanded deal with Fox, there's some new anime available on Watch Instantly these days and now Netflix has revealed a deal with Viz Media made it all possible. This has brought hundreds of episodes of popular series including Bleach, Naruto and Inuyasha to the service and most importantly, they're uncut and feature the Japanese audio with subtitles -- a must for hardcore fans. There's also new eps of other series like Trigun and Fullmetal Alchemist available through a deal with Funimation, but unfortunately it appears those are dubbed editions. Clearly licensing issues play a role, but here's hoping we see more original audio, uncut releases in the future (trying to watch Ghost in the Shell dubbed is just painful) or in the best possible case -- an option to watch subbed or dubbed.

How well would Inuyasha fare in a fight against Project Arms' Ryo Takatsuki? Will Samurai Deeper Kyo be able to handle GetBackers' Ban Mido? Who's more of a punk, Air Gear's Ikki or Cromartie High School's Shinichi? You'll be able to find out in a brand new manga mash-up fighter, reminiscent of DS's Jump Ultimate Stars. Konami's fighter, called Sunday x Magazine: Taisen Action, brings characters from two different Shonen anthologies: Shonen Sunday and Weekly Shonen.Considering the wide variety of licenses required for a project like this, it's unlikely this game will ever see a stateside release. You can check Siliconera for a full listing of characters.

Namco-Bandai has announced they're planning on bringing the Inuyasha property to a DS near you. Called Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel, the game will take place in the Inuyasha universe. Also, the game is to feature a "divine jewel" which holds some sort of "secret." OK, we kid, we kid, the game is to feature a brand-new storyline to feature new, never-before-seen characters in the Inuyasha universe. Returning Inuyasha characters include Inuyasha (obviously), Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo. In the trailer available (right-click, save-as), which is in WMV format, shows a turn-based combat system allowing the player to have up to six characters in battle at once.
