Live from Apple's streaming service event!

Today something rare is happening: an Apple keynote with possibly zero hardware news. The company recently sent out invitations for a March 25th press event with the words "It's show time" and an animated countdown clock -- the sort of old-timey touch you simply don't see in theaters anymore. That's as clear as a confirmation as any that Apple is about to unveil is long-awaited video streaming service. Other than the company's various original content deals, ranging from movies to TV shows, we've heard surprisingly few details about how the service will work, what it will cost or what it will include. Given that Apple already announced some minor iPad and iMac updates last week, we expect the company will use most of its allotted time to do a deep dive on the service itself, with very few, if any, asides related to hardware. In any case, all will be revealed soon. Join us today at 10am PT/1pm ET and follow along with our liveblog straight from the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.

Microsoft may have surprised us when it sent out invites for an MWC event in mid-January, but now it's time to find out what the company wants to discuss. Based on the invitation, we know that HoloLens creator and Microsoft technical fellow Alex Kipman will be part of the festivities, as will CEO Satya Nadella and CVP Julie White. Nothing is set in stone, but Kipman's participation seems to indicate some HoloLens news is on the agenda -- perhaps even the official reveal of the HoloLens 2 or some Windows Mixed Reality news. No matter what Microsoft has to show us, we're on the ground in Barcelona, ready to bring you all of the news as it's announced. Keep your browser locked here when the event kicks off at 12PM ET/6PM CET.

Amidst all the TVs and IOT devices, CES is becoming a rather important auto show. So it's no surprise that Mercedes-Benz will be unveiling a car at the annual desert conference. Based on the teasers from Mercedes, it'll almost be the new CLA coupe brimming with new tech like company's outstanding voice-powered MBUX infotainment system that was shown off at last year's CES.

It's been a year since Intel's flashy, drone-heavy CES 2018 keynote, which came shortly after we learned about the widespread Spectre and Meltdown chip vulnerabilities. Now, Intel is trying to make a fresh start. While it's still searching for a new CEO, following the departure of Brian Krzanich, it also needs to prove it's ready for the coming arrival of 5G, AI and entirely new PC form factors. And while its 9th generation CPUs sound impressive, we're still waiting to see a wide rollout of 10 nm processors. So far, Intel claims they'll be coming this year and they'll also feature the company's fastest integrated graphics so far, reaching over a teraflop worth of performance. Join us as we cover Intel's CES press event live, starting at 7 PM Eastern / 4 PM Pacific. You can also watch it live on Intel's newsroom.

You can always count on Samsung to put on a good show when CES rolls around, and it all starts with the company's customary press conference. It's always a great opportunity to catch up on the progress the company has made in the year prior, and dig into the devices and trends that Samsung thinks will define the new year. In typical Samsung fashion, though, it already made a handful of announcements before the show even started.

The CES 2019 madness is kicking off with LG's press conference today. As we found out earlier this week, the company will be showing off its new OLED and LCD TVs, including two 8K sets. Rumor has it LG could be ready to unveil a foldable phone, though don't be disappointed if that doesn't actually happen here in Las Vegas. It may be waiting to introduce it later in the year, when it wouldn't have to compete for attention with the thousands of other gadgets being announced. Either way, we'll find out together and bring you the news as it happens at 11AM ET / 8AM PT. Keep your eyes on this page.

It's early January, so you won't be surprised to learn that team Engadget has arrived in Las Vegas for CES 2019. While the show doesn't technically start until Tuesday morning, a flood of new product news will be arriving in the coming hours -- and we'll spend most of Monday attending the CES press conferences from the industry's biggest players. As usual, you can expect to see a bevy of bigger, better screens, more smart home tech, more Alexa and Google Assistant and quite a bit about the future of auto. But we're also hoping to see the oddball, offbeat but potentially ground-breaking tech that makes CES more than just a TV show. Sure, the big companies don't always surprise us like they used to, but we're betting there's still going to be plenty we didn't expect -- and it all starts with these events. Join us, won't you?

It's time for Microsoft's next batch of Surface devices! We're live in NYC at the company's launch event, where we're expecting to hear more about a refreshed Surface Pro, Laptop and Book. And judging from this afternoon's leak, it looks like we'll see a black Laptop and Surface Pro. (Check out our full preview here.) But who knows, maybe we'll actually get the rumored dual-screen Surface, code-named "Andromeda." Just don't hold your breath for a Surface Phone. The event begins at 4 PM Eastern! Check back for updates then. Unfortunately, you won't be able to stream this event live.

Live from Apple's 2018 iPhone event!

Hello! Happy iPhone Day! (And if you're here early, slow your roll!) Senior mobile editor Chris Velazco and I are reporting live from Cupertino, California, on Wednesday, where Apple is holding its "Gather Round" iPhone launch at the Steve Jobs Theater. Today we expect to see -- what else? -- iPhone. Three, to be exact: the XS, the larger XS Max and a smaller model that borrows many features from last year's iPhone X, while still coming in at a more reasonable price. Also on tap, apparently? The fourth-generation Apple Watch, predictably called the Series 4, which is said to sport a larger display. If it sounds like I'm talking about these unannounced products in an unusual level of detail, that's because these products have already been leaked to the press, with 9to5Mac even getting ahold of some elusive press shots. That said, there's still probably to be some surprises, including some wildcards like an updated iPad Pro, next-gen AirPods and the long-awaited AirPower wireless charging mat. What we're not expecting Tuesday: refreshed Macs or an updated iPhone SE. We're always ready to be surprised, though. Stay tuned at this link and follow along starting 10AM PT / 1PM ET as we report live from Apple Park. Follow all the latest news from Apple's 2018 iPhone event here!

When it's time to unveil some flashy new hardware, Samsung is known for taking things way over the top. Today's event just might take the cake though: The company is going to officially reveal its new (and thoroughly leaked) Galaxy Note 9 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, a 19,000-seat arena that's best known for basketball games and massive concerts. Will Samsung's news be big enough to fill all this space? Well, we're about to find out: The show starts in earnest at 11AM Eastern/8AM Pacific, so lock your browser window here and join us for the ride. Rumors suggest we could see more Forza Horizon and Gears of War news -- and hey, let's not discount the chance of a Halo appearance. The big show kicks off at 1PM PT / 4PM ET later today. Hello there! You must be really excited about Apple's annual developer conference, because you've arrived a little early. The company kicks off WWDC on Monday in typical fashion: with a livestreamed keynote helmed by CEO Tim Cook. As per usual, I'll be among the thousands watching live, bringing you breaking news and bad jokes in liveblog form. Also as per usual, I'll be joined by my colleague, senior editor and resident iDevice reviewer, Chris Velazco. Keep this page bookmarked and come back around or slightly before 10AM Pacific/1PM Eastern on Monday, June 4th. We'll be reporting and commenting on everything Apple has to say about iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, HealthKit, ARKit and who knows what else. Oh, and if you want to keep the livestream open in a second window, you can find that here.

It's already that time of year again: WWDC, Apple's annual developer conference. You can peep it live, as it happens, right here from wherever you are at 1PM Eastern/10AM Pacific. New this year? You'll be able to watch the keynote in Chrome and Firefox in addition to Safari and Microsoft Edge. It's like the future! Now, Apple says that for the "best" experience you should use one of its own devices (or Microsoft Edge). Of course, you can still watch on your Apple TV if you feel so inclined.

Apple apparently has some news to share so it's holding a big keynote in sunny... Chicago? That's right, the company says it has some education-focused announcements in store and to mark the occasion, it chose a school in the Windy City as a backdrop. That means all of you, dear readers, best be setting your clocks to Central Time. I'll be reporting live from Chicago on Tuesday the 27th, joined by my colleague, senior editor (and prolific iDevice reviewer) Chris Velazco. The rumor mill indicates we might see a new, inexpensive iPad, and maybe even a new laptop, but there's really only one way to know for sure: Follow along with our liveblog and stay tuned afterward for hands-on impressions, video and analysis (you know how we do). You'll want to bookmark this link and tune in at 10am CT (that's 11am Eastern and 8am Pacific -- woof). See you then!

Once again, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich is ushering in the beginning of CES with a major keynote. This year, the big focus is on data and its "power to transform the world." But we also hope that he says more about how Intel plans to tackle the fallout from Meltdown and Spectre. We also expect to hear plenty about how Intel is using data in its artificial intelligence initiatives. And of course, the company will likely highlight some of its upcoming products. In particular, we hope to see Krzanich demo machines using the new eight-generation Core CPU with AMD RX Vega M graphics. Join us at 6:30pm PT/9:30pm ET when the keynote kicks off. Sony's CES 2018 press event: We're live!

    01.08.2018

Sony's left-field reveal for CES 2018 is already kinda known. It, too, is working on autonomous cars. Hopefully we'll see its conceptual party bus roll out on stage later today, but we're at least bound to hear more about the AI smarts powering it all. Fear not: we're likely to see upgraded AV options, from TVs to soundbars, and while I'm not sure how Sony can make its OLED TVs even more desirable, those beauties are bound to make a reappearance. New cameras? PlayStation news? Both are less likely, but I wouldn't discount anything. Join Engadget at 8pm Eastern Time, because we'll be liveblogging it all!
