MiLi's earlier attempts at pocket projectors not pico enough for your tastes? The company has shaved off a few precious millimeters, putting the straightforwardly named Pico Projector 2 at somewhere around the thickness of two iPhone 4s -- all said, the thing seems to look a lot like its predecessor to us, in spite of its "massively reduced bulk." The company has also dropped the fan -- rendering it effectively silent -- and has given the thing better battery life, at around two and a half hours of 10-lumen mini video projection on a charge, according to distributor, BeamBox. The bantam iPhone magic lantern is set to start shipping in the UK on May 25th for £280 ($452), with a US version coming in the next few weeks, because everyone loves a sequel, right? %Gallery-123911%

As if we weren't excited enough about MiLi's HDMI iPhone dock, the battery powerhouse has announced yet another multifunctional device for re-juicing your smartphone. The MiFlip foldable smartphone charger -- compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and BlackBerry -- functions as a charger, battery backup, and viewing stand, and it's small enough to keep your mobile phone, well, mobile. This skinny battery booster provides eight hours of talk, 15 hours of video, or 80 hours of music, and uses a mini-USB connector to sync with iTunes. MiFlip will be available for $49.99 on MiLi's website, and we'll look for it at CES this week.

MiLi Power -- the same guys who pushed out the thinnest iPhone battery case earlier this year -- are back in Las Vegas, but this introduction represents quite the deviation. The MiLi HD is fairly simplistic in nature, and we get the feeling that iPhone and iPad owners may actually appreciate the understated motif. Aside from being a fully-featured charging dock, this here device also includes an internal speaker, a mini-USB connector and an HDMI output to boot. The goal here is to pipe those iTunes downloads from your iDevice right onto your television sans an Apple TV, and if that's exactly what you've been hunting for, you can seek it out shortly for $99.99. %Gallery-112371%

If you're an iPhone owner then you've certainly heard of the Mophie Juice Pack. It's emerged as the external battery pack of choice for any iPhone owner needing more untethered power than Apple can provide from its non-removable batteries. But what about all those feisty upstarts? Can they compete in terms of design, functionality, and price? Let's find out. We put two iPhone 4 external battery pack cases -- the Mophie Juice Pack Air and Mili PowerSpring 4 -- head to head to see how they perform. Both promise to double the iPhone 4's 1420mAh li-poly battery life without adding too much bulk. And surely the 1600mAh capacity Mili outlasts the 1500mAh Mophie, right? You'd be surprised.%Gallery-102982%

  • Mili PowerSpring 4 doubles the battery life of your iPhone 4

There's a big difference between the iPhone 4 and Galaxy S. No, not iOS vs. Android 2.1 or even Retina vs. Super AMOLED. We're talking batteries: one is removable and one isn't -- guess which is which? This perennial iPhone "feature" has spawned as entire industry of device-specific accessories that sate the need for more juice while simultaneously killing the form (and aesthetic) of an otherwise pocketable gadget. But hey, it's your only choice when you're either too busy (CES) or unable (intercontinental flights) to tether yourself to a power socket. And guess what? Those curvy battery packs that hugged your iPhone 3G/3GS won't work with the boxy iPhone 4. So, here's the latest, and one of the first iPhone 4 cases with an extended battery pack to ship. The Mili PowerSpring 4 starts shipping today for £54.99 (or $85 on Amazon). It claims to be the world's thinnest iPhone 4 battery pack to double your battery life thanks to a 1600mAh capacity Li-Pol battery. That makes this roadwarrior necessity just a bit less evil.

And here you were, stylin' in your Juice Pack Air, thinking you were the king of the charging iPhone case hill with the sleekest hardware money can buy... but guess what? Life isn't fair, and MiLi intends to prove it by undercutting Mophie's solution by right around a twentieth of an inch of thickness. It's still packing 1200mAh of power -- the same that the Juice Pack Air offers -- which MiLi claims should be enough to just about double your run time. It's available now in a choice of eight scintillating color combos for £47.99 (about $74).

Are you a globetrotter with a penchant for vivid colors? Mili's got your back with its compact and surprisingly practical Universal Charger. Capable of plugging into US, UK, EU or Australian-style sockets, this unit covers quite a bit of ground and can power a pair of devices at once via USB. Technically then, you're unloading the chargers from your bag and refilling it with USB adapters, but a lot of UK road warriors would carry live rattlesnakes around if it meant freedom from those humongous plugs. There are nine color options -- some of them are even socially acceptable -- for the discerning customer with £20 ($33) in his pocket, and pre-orders are being taken now for August 14 delivery.

Pocket projectors -- if they aren't quite 'all the rage' -- crop up all over the place these days. Beambox has teamed up with MiLi (makers of some fine iPhone chargers) on this newest one. The MiLi Evolution Mini Power Projector works in conjunction with your iPhone or iPod touch, docking it into the unit which then acts as projector and charger in one. The LCOS projector boasts 10 lumens of brightness for VGA projection of an image from 3 to 70 inches. It'll be about $255 when it's released around the end of July. One more shot after the break.

Sure, iPhone chargers are a dime a dozen, and most of them are a snore-fest, we know. Mili's just-rolled-out Phonesuit Power Pack is eye-catching enough to bring to your attention though. The spiffy looking charger is packing an 1,800 mAh battery which supposedly gives up to 350 hours of standby time, 6 hours of talk / browsing (3G), 12 hours of EDGE use. The only mildly interesting feature of the device is the mini USB port which allows you to charge a device other than your iPhone. This baby comes in 8 designs, and it's going to run you about $80 if you want to nab one. [Via Engadget Spanish]
