‘Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate' arrives on Switch August 28th
The Switch is getting its own Monster Hunter game this summer, but unfortunately, it won't be the record-selling current-gen version, World. Last summer, Nintendo launched Monster Hunter XX, a port of a 2016 3DS title, in Japan -- and now it's on its way to American shores. Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate comes out for Switch in the US on August 28th.

Monster Hunter Generations lands in North America and Europe on July 15th, specifically for the 3DS. Plus, Nintendo is launching two limited edition, Generations-branded 3DS XL handhelds, one for each region. The blue version will go on sale in North America and red is for Europe -- both will be available on July 15th alongside the new game.
'Monster Hunter Generations' hits 3DS in the summer
Monster Hunter Generations, known as Monster Hunter X in Japan, hits 3DS in the summer across the western world, Nintendo announced today. Monster Hunter is a popular action role-playing series that has players find, battle and capture fantastical creatures, and Generations will be no different. Dedicated series fans can transfer their save data from Monster Hunter 4 to Generations to unlock bonus content. To sweeten that deal, Monster Hunter 4 is on sale for $20 in the Nintendo eShop for 48 hours starting at 3PM PT today. Start hunting those monsters, people.
