Apple releases Pro Applications, Canon Printer Drivers updates
Apple has released two new updates. The first is Pro Applications Update 2010-01. The update is a revision to Final Cut Studio (2009). It includes Final Cut Pro 7.0.2, Motion 4.0.2, Color 1.5.2, Compressor 3.5.2, Apple Qmaster 3.5.2 and Cinema Tools 4.5.1. Apple says the software improves overall stability and addresses a number of other minor issues. The update is recommended for all users of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Server, and Logic Studio and weighs in at 321.1 MB. It requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later and QuickTime 7.6.2 or later. The second update is Canon Printer Drivers 2.3 for Snow Leopard and includes the latest Canon printing and scanning software for Snow Leopard. The update weighs in at 281.16MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later. The updates are available through the download links above or via Software Update.
Apple updates Pro Applications, Final Cut Server, and iPhone Config Utility
Last Thursday, Apple released three updates that we forgot to touch on.Pro Applications Update 2008-03 (support site link)Pro Applications Update 2008-03 "addresses general performance issues and improves overall stability." More information about the Pro Apps update can be found in the release notes. You can download the installer package here.Final Cut Server Update 1.1.1 (support site link)Apple notes on their support website that FCS Update 1.1.1 addresses "installation issues and general performance issues and improves overall stability." Apple has also posted more information about the update in the release notes.iPhone Configuration Utility 1.0.1 for Mac OS X (support site link)The iPhone Config Utility allows enterprises to maintain a large number of iPhones (including installing and provisioning applications). The utility has been updated to version 1.0.1, and in normal Apple update fashion, they have not included any release notes for this version. You can however, download the installer package by visiting the Apple support site.All of these updates require Mac OS X 10.5.5, which was updated last week. You can download these updates by opening Software Update (Apple menu > Software Update) or by visiting the Apple support website links and download the installer packages. Today Apple released a Pro Applications Update 2008-01. This update is described as:This update improves reliability for Apple's professional applications and is recommended for all users of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Server, Logic Studio, and Shake.Final Cut Server was, as you may know, released on Tuesday. You can download this update by opening the Software Update app (Apple Menu > Software Update) or by downloading the installer package from the Apple support downloads website.
