What do you do when you've got an empty wrist and almost $10,000 burning a hole in your pocket? Buy a rose gold smartwatch from Tag Heuer. To match your phone, private jet, toothbrush and crippling sense of loneliness brought upon by spending too much money on not-pink gadgets, of course. This Tag Heuer Connected isn't available online, so that means you'll have to trudge down to a jewelry store to get your mitts on one. And it might be your only shot at a luxury smartwatch now that Apple's stepped out of the game.
Dell's updated XPS 13 includes a 'rose gold' model
When Intel formally launched its seventh-generation Core processors, you could practically hear the outcry for an updated Dell XPS 13 that uses them. It's a fan favorite among laptops, but a showcase for what Intel's technology can do for mobile performance and battery life. Well, you can relax. Dell is releasing an upgraded XPS 13 that not only touts the latest Intel tech, but also comes in an optional "rose gold" (aka light metallic pink). It's an acknowledgment that the XPS 13 and its near-borderless display have become design statements, and that many people would like color options beyond the usual shades of gray.
Apple killed off its super expensive gold Edition watches
With today's launch of the Apple Watch Series 2, Tim Cook and company added the sleek new Ceramic Edition, but quietly did away with the more ostentatious, solid-18-karat-gold version. While that ceramic Series 2 model doesn't exactly come cheap at $1,249, it's still a fraction of the price of Apple's previous top shelf, $10,000-plus Gold Edition.

No, Apple didn't invent the color pink, but it certainly made "rose gold" famous. It all started last year with the company's first rose gold iPhones, the 6s and 6s Plus, which quickly inspired other manufacturers to embellish their own devices with identical hues. It's no surprise, then, that the IFA 2016 show floor is filled with rose gold gadgets, although some would prefer to be described as "copper" or "luxury pink." Apple's updated MacBook is indeed faster with longer battery life
Apple dropped some Mac news last week, but it might not have been the news you were waiting for. Neither the MacBook Air nor the MacBook Pro have seen a processor refresh since last year, and both have had the same design for several years now. So, if you were hoping for the mythical Retina display Air or an MBP with one of Intel's newer Skylake chips, you're still outta luck. If, however, you were waiting to pull the trigger on the 12-inch MacBook, this was your lucky week: Apple updated its lightest-weight notebook with newer CPUs, faster SSDs and a rose-gold option -- the first pink computer the company has ever made. Aside from the new color, which I am not reviewing so much as judging, the refreshed MacBook promises a 25 percent boost in graphics performance and an extra hour of battery life. I'd say those claims are indeed accurate.
Samsung's Galaxy S7 phones get pink option that isn't rose gold
Not one to hold back on spinning out new colors and editions months after a smartphone debuts, Samsung's revealed metallic rose-hued Galaxy S7s and S7 Edges for Korean phone-shoppers. Wait, it's not rose gold. That's some other company. These phones are obviously pink gold. Completely different and "skin tone-inspired".
Samsung adds red and 'rose gold' colors to its Galaxy Note 3 lineup
Smartphones these days are as much fashion accessories as pure gadgets and Galaxy Note 3 fans will soon have two more ways to mix and match. First off, Samsung went straight for a trendy "rose gold" hue for the handset's metal edge against a black or white body color, giving it a blingy Chanel vibe. Also on tap is a "merlot red" so that exhibitionist types will have something more outré to lust after than the current jet black, classic white and blush rose finishes. The new shades will be launched in China later this month, with other regions getting them as per "market preference," according to Samsung. We're not sure what that means exactly, because the market usually prefers things yesterday.
Samsung announces 75-inch ES9000 smart TV for Korea, with similarly gigantic price tag (eyes-on)
Anyone looking to fill half of their lounge with Samsung LCD just got a new size to choose. The 75-inch ES9000 is the bigger brother of the ES8000 that we saw earlier this year and ahead of the official launch in Korea, we managed to get an early eyes-on at a Samsung event held yesterday in London. In short, if you loved the LED-backlit display of the 55-inch model, you're going to adore the ES9000, which features the same smart TV brains alongside a retractable webcam unit housed on the top edge. The picture was pleasingly rich and sharp -- presumably due to the aforementioned backlighting and the ES series' edge-to-edge design. The bezel is a mere 7.9mm and Samsung has decided to coat the frame in a gentle Rose Gold coating which, due to the TV's slightly shady location, was a little trickier to pick out. That premium finish is matched by a premium price tag, however, and will hit checkbooks for 19.8 million won (around $17,450). Despite the UK appearance, retailer John Lewis (which hosted the event) couldn't confirm whether retail models would be coming to its stores in the future. But if you can afford 75 inches of TV, you can also afford a quick flight to Seoul to pick one up. %Gallery-159772%
Vertu Constellation in rose gold, pricing still outrageous
All that glitters chez Vertu is gold -- well OK most, but who'd spend this much for stainless steel? -- and in the case of this handset in the Constellation series, rose gold. Unlike other in the collection, leather choices only include black, and not the other garish colors we've seen before. This handset still impresses with its opulence factor, but we'd like to see the inclusion of 3G for the kind of money you have to drop to join the club.[Via Sybarites]
Vertu's diamond-encrusted Signature, now in pink
We're not sure what's richer: this phone, or the fact that it's the very same model that launched Vertu to mobile infamy some four years ago. We guess those with more money than tech savvy can look forward to gorging themselves on this marvel of modern opulence, Vertu's pink diamond Signature. For what it's worth, this isn't the first time Vertu has completely coated its Signature model in the glittery stuff -- and we imagine it won't be the last -- though this one rocks out with rose gold and a healthy dose of pink diamond intermixed with the traditional type. Look for it in a Vertu retailer near you, and if you have to ask the price... well, you know.
