South Korea may get a Galaxy S 4 Active with LTE-A, processor and camera upgrades
South Korea's SK-Telecom already has a variant of the GS4 to surf its LTE-Advanced waves, and now it appears Samsung will release a version of the Galaxy S4 Active that plays nice with the carrier's next-gen network. A flyer posted on a Korean-language website revealed the handset and detailed its specs, listing a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, a healthy horsepower boost from the original's 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600. What's more, the smartphone now sports a 13MP camera -- which matches that of the vanilla Galaxy S4 -- and its storage has doubled to 32GB. Besides shaving off a few grams in weight and nabbing a white color option, the device retains the rest of its predecessor's features, all the way down to its 5-inch 1080p display and 2,600mAh battery. It's not clear if a revamped GS4 Active will make its way to other territories sans LTE-A, but adventurous (and clumsy) souls can keep their hopes up for a more powerful incarnation of the ruggedized phone.
It's not a dream, DJ Max turns into a "live miracle"
American gamers may be destroying their PSPs in frustration over DJ Max Portable 2, but Korean gamers are absolutely bonkers for the music title. A live concert called "Live Miracle" will take advantage of the growing popularity of the game, and give fans the rare opportunity to hear their favorite songs from the game performed live. Gundam Seed brings hot mech-on-mech action
Who would've thought that a licensed anime game could ever look so enticing? Ruliweb got some hands-on time with the newly released Japanese import, and it looks absolutely fantastic. The battles look like a blast (pun intended), with some miraculous mech action on display. The game has all the production values from the original anime, from TM Revolution's intro to Souichiro Hoshi's grating adolescent voice. Gundam fans will have a tear come to their eye when they see Victory flash on the screen, with See-Saw's ending playing in the background. Watch PaRappa rap right on your PSP [m]
Ruliweb got the sweet hookup with some exclusive footage of the PSP version of PaRappa the Rapper. For some mysterious reason, Sony decided to release this on UMD instead of making it downloadable, but hey-- I don't have a PS3, so it works out for me. DJ Max Portable 2 announced
Some of you have figured out that I like music games... a lot. So, when Ruliweb reports that import-favorite DJ Max Portable is getting a sequel, I have no choice but to pass it on to all of you. The sequel ups the ante by introducing one more gameplay mode, and by expanding the soundtrack to 150 songs. Wow. DJ Max Portable, for non-Korean speakers
The PSP is no stranger to some excellent music games. Unfortunately for us English-speaking blokes, these games rarely get translated into a language that we can read. Ruliweb has discovered a new version of the Beatmania-clone DJ Max Portable. The International Edition of the game features English language text and one new song that can't be found in the original ("River Flow" by Planetboom).No hardcore PSP fan will be caught without DJ Max Portable.
