Samsung's S-SIM now supports MMC and dual-USB support
We've been waiting for that super-chip that combines, you know, all the things we need in a mobile -- SIM, phone memory and USB 2.0 support. Samsung's new-n-improved SIMs will now support the MultiMediaCard format (MMC) as well as the USB 2.0 and InterChip-USB interfaces for mobiles. The dual standard is to give handset makers flexibility in the transition as they decide which USB interface will make the grade. The S-SIM -- as it's been called -- auto-configures based on what it detects in the handset. We really do fancy that newest SIM with 1GB of storage right onboard.
