Apple announces dates for iTunes Festival London 2010
Apple has announced dates for the 2010 London iTunes Festival. The festival will run every night in July this summer. Sixty artists will be performing over thirty-one days at Camden's Roundhouse in London. The first three nights will feature performances from Scissor Sisters, Tony Bennett and Ozzy Osbourne. Tickets to the shows are only available for free via competitions. Apple will be giving away 25 pairs of tickets for each showing. The entry form for the competition is here. Users may apply for as many of the gigs as they'd like. Those who can't make the festival can still watch highlights, read the latest news, and see behind-the-scenes photos on the event's Facebook and Twitter pages. All performances will also be recorded and sold on the iTunes Music Store worldwide. [via 9to5]
New Big Day Out 2007 media including the Scissors
As part of Xbox.com's coverage of Europe's Big Day Out 2007 festivities, they've posted a few Scissor Sisters goodies for you to consume. First up is the announcement of Xbox Soundtracks which will be launching in May (possibly Europe only?) where you'll be able to download video game trailers, add your music to it, and upload it to Xbox.com. Community members will then be able to vote on their favs where you'll become a semi-instant not-so-much celeb. To kick off the Xbox Soundtracks program the Scissor Sisters mixed the Halo Wars trailer with their re-mixed version of "She's My Man". Other goods include an interview with the band and one big Xbox 360 ruler ... check it out if this is your ball of wax.
Glam rocking Scissor Sisters join GWF
The Scissor Sisters and others will be jumping on Xbox Live February 28th as part of the Game With Fame program and Europe's Big Day Out event. Other GWFers include various Quicksilver snowboarders and funky fresh DJs who will be playing during the four day long Big Day Out festivities. We think this GWF session is only open to our European brothers, because it is being held solely for the Big Day Out. Complete schedule, full list of participates, and email addresses to enter are listed after the jump. And where can we get our hands on a brown leather jumpsuit with matching tropical cape?
