As always, Netflix has a trove of new shows, movies and documentaries coming our way when the calendar flips to the next page. Among the highlights for April are You vs. Wild, an interactive survival show starring Bear Grylls (April 10th) and the long-awaited nature docuseries Our Planet, which is narrated by David Attenborough and from the creator of Planet Earth (April 5th).

Sony Online Entertainment's upcoming Clone Wars Adventures has garnered a fair amount of interest among both the younger target audience and older fans as well. As with any upcoming game, the question of a launch date is always at the top of everyone's need-to-know list. SOE answered that question today, giving us plenty of extra information in the process. Clone Wars Adventures will launch on September 15th, the same day as the premiere of the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, making for an exciting day for fans. Launch is still a little over a month away, but there is already the promise of more to come. We've known for a while that the game will be free-to-play with microtransactions, but SOE has a special retail box planned for release on October 5th. The Clone Wars Adventures Galactic Passport will be sold in stores throughout North America, and will contain a 90-day membership, 500 Station Cash, the ability to unlock the Togruta playable character, a Yoda monitor topper, and more. This announcement comes with a closer look at minigames, one of the game's main features. It's true, last week's peek at Krome Studios' upcoming take on Cartoon Network's Star Wars: The Clone Wars left our midichlorian count at an all-time low. Now publisher LucasArts has made things official, laying out what we can expect from The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes. The game, which will force grip retail shelves on September 15, will feature "run-and-gun" gameplay and 30 different missions, each plucked from "key" events in the animated series' debut run. Republic Heroes will also support two-player online and offline co-op, as well as the ability to drop in and out of multiplayer matches "seamlessly."Lastly, LucasArts adds that its Singapore branch is handling on the DS version of the game, something we already suspected. Now, with our force powers slightly charged, we're going to see if we can lift our expectations out of the Dagobah swamp. %Gallery-63185%%Gallery-63184%

A rumor posted over at Destructoid points to a new Clone Wars game in the works for Xbox 360 and PS3. Titled Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, the game is described as a third-person action title featuring two-player co-op, with separate "Jedi" and "Clone" storylines featuring Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, respectively. The game's focus is supposedly on melee combat, with mention of some form of upgrades available throughout the game. Jedi characters will purportedly have some access to Force powers (gasp!), such as the ability to control droids (Dtoid's post mentions rolling Droideka).Krome Studios has had plenty of experience with the Star Wars franchise. The company handled porting Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to the Wii, PS2, and PSP, and was responsible for the Wii-exclusive Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels. Let's hope the third time's the charm here.

Just when we thought there wasn't another comic book movie this holiday season until The Dark Knight, along comes Hellboy, which we somehow forgot about. It's available both in regular and extra geeky, the latter will set you back another $20, but while both include a digital copy, only the Collector's Edition includes a scary looking figurine and we're not sure what else. Also this week, Weinstein has the made for TV movie about the NASCAR legend, Dale Earnhardt, which is sure to be a popular stocking stuffer for Blu-ray NASCAR fans -- not sure how many of those there are. Star Wars fans can look forward to the animated feature Star Wars: The Clone Wars, while WW2 junkies can can relive Band of Brothers for the first time on Blu-ray. That isn't the only TV show series this week though, as Warner has both the first season of Chuck and the third season of Supernatural. And finally, Fox offers up the first, and regrettably, the only season of Firefly. Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Universal) Hellboy II: The Golden Army Collector's Edition (Universal) 3: The Dale Earnhardt Story (Weinstein) Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Warner) Band of Brothers (HBO) Chuck: The Complete First Season (Warner) Supernatural: The Complete Third Season (Warner) JFK (Warner) Firefly: The complete series (Fox) Harry Potter Years 1-5 Giftset (Warner) This Christmas (Sony)

  • KotORO it ain't: There's a third Star Wars MMO out there

Star Wars Galaxies and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Online (or more likely, Star Wars: The Old Republic) apparently aren't the only two Star Wars MMOs out there. We didn't originally mention this because lacking the Star Wars bit it was under the radar of our normal coverage, but McDonald's is including keys to virtual worlds for kids in its Happy Meals.Among the worlds: a Sci-Fi environment based on the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which hits theaters across the United States and the United Kingdom today. The environment is some kind of space station, and be there Yoda will. (You see what we did there?) So if you're really, really desperate to wander around a Star Wars-based virtual world other than SWG, well ... this is your chance, right? Yeah, okay, it's probably best to wait for KotoRO. We just thought you should know in case you're really hardcore.[Via Raph Koster]

... and big ol' character art that actually makes this particular art style a little more endearing. Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Jedi Alliance has been lying low; even the initial reveal of the (very long) title seemed so casual as to have been possibly accidental. Now, however, we've got a window into the title. albeit a very small one that offers but a glimpse. With the lure of lightsaber duels in the Wii version (conveniently subtitled Lightsaber Duels), the DS version will probably need to be something special. Let's hope the controls come through!%Gallery-27862%[Via press release]

  • Star Wars: The Clone Wars DS is not a Wii clone

Now that LucasArts has officially announced a Clone Wars game for the DS, we've found out a lot more details on the upcoming Star Wars title to share with our lovely readers. For one, we know that the DS version will have its own story, despite the fact that Clone Wars is also coming to the Wii. Since the games plan to take the series in different directions, they also have different subtitles: the DS version is known as Jedi Alliance, while the software for the Wii is called Lightsaber Duels.Aside from the fact that Jedi Alliance will (obviously) utilize the touchscreen and stylus, LucasArts also boasts about the player's ability to pair up Jedi Masters and Padawans. For example, you can team up Anakin and Obi-Wan (but that seems too obvious). The more you develop the relationships between your pairs, the more powerful they'll be together. Different pair combinations will also feature different abilities, meaning that you'll have to replay some levels with new teams if you hope to unlock everything. Lastly, the game will support drop-in/drop-out wireless co-op play. All in all, it sounds like a neat little title. We only hope that it looks a little better than the screen up top -- granted, the resolution is blown up, but it didn't look so hot in its natural size, either.[Via press release]

After teasing Wii- and DS-exclusive Star Wars titles on the back of the Lego Indiana Jones manual, LucasArts has confirmed to VentureBeat that a pair of games, based on the upcoming Clone Wars animated movie and TV show, will indeed be heading to Nintendo's platforms. Players with a love of space operas and a high tolerance for clones (and colons) can look forward to playing Star Wars The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance, a DS game from LucasArts's studio in Singapore, and Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels, a Wii-bound, wand-waving fencing fest from Krome Studios. Both titles are expected to beam onto shelves this November. Darn, that was a Star Trek reference, wasn't it? We'll get it right next time.%Gallery-25562%%Gallery-25563%

How do Stormtroopers kick it? Well, even if they work for an evil empire, they're still people. They do things like taking a bike ride on a beautiful summer day and booting up their DS for some town maintenance. Stormtroopers, as well as other fans of all things Star Wars, should take notice that a new Star Wars title is set to grace the DS and Wii soon.Titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it's set in the same universe as the beloved cartoon series and movies of the same name. The new game has been confirmed via the backside of the instruction manual for upcoming title LEGO Indiana Jones.Who's anxious to play a Clone Wars game?

Remember the God of War III tease on the back of the Chains of Olympus manual? Well, IGN reports that LucasArts has gotten in on the back-of-booklet-surprise trend by slapping an ad for a new Wii and DS Star Wars game on the flip-side of the LEGO Indiana Jones manual. The promo is for a game (or games) based on the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars CGI movie and TV series, and only icons representing Nintendo's console and handheld platforms are present. If the games stick solely to the Big N's machines, they'll be the first Nintendo-only Star Wars titles that we've seen since long ago in a galaxy far, far away.[Via GoNintendo; thanks Fernando]
