Jeremy Harnell isn't just a cool dude who reads a semi-cool site, he also came up with this nifty Threadless shirt. It's called "Bruvva" and is currently being voted on -- votes determine if it's ultimately produced as a shirt, you see, so if you have an account, head on over and do Jeremy a solid!

The problem with gaming shirts is that even when they have fantastic art, they usually also involve some puerile joke. This one on Threadless is no exception! Oh, drug humor. It's a shame, because this artist draws Mario in a unique and cool-looking way, but we'd never wear this particular shirt.Your mileage may vary, however. If you're into this design, you should vote for it at Threadless, because the number of votes will determine whether or not it gets printed. More gaming shirts on Threadless is a good thing, because it'll lead to better ones.[Via GoNintendo]

Threadless, the hep cats who brought you the Bioshock t-shirt contest, are going back to the old school with their latest video game-inspired contest: PaRappa the Rapper. Things are just getting underway and, already, one of our favorite designs – this PaRappa meets 8 Mile mashup – has been dropped early. If that doesn't embody the "I gotta BELIEVE!!!" theme, we don't know what will. Maybe Chop Chop Master Onion? We just don't know what to believe anymore ...

We have to admit, we don't really get this new T-shirt from Threadless. Video games ruining lives? All video games have ever brought us at Team Joystiq is the opportunity to travel around the globe collecting fabulous treasures to pass along to our adoring fans and the chance to meet fascinating people. Check out the picture, maybe it's ironic. "Video games have brought me so much joy and treasure over the years," she seems to be thinking, "I'm so very clever to be wearing a negative T-shirt about them." We know it's a stretch, but we can't explain it any other way. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have tired, and must return to our throne made of Wiis and review copies of Halo 3.

Today, Threadless revealed the winner of the Threadless Loves Bioshock tshirt design contest. And even though our Dead Sucker design didn't win, we think the winning design entitled The Leftover is very cool. It properly showcases the somber and disturbing Bioshock feel, but at the same time making it subtle and not so in your face. Support not only the designer (who got paid for the design), but promote Bioshock love across the land for only $15. Don't be cheap, buy one today!

If you aren't familiar with Threadless, let us give you a quick introduction. Threadless is a website where artists create tshirt designs, submit their work, then the community votes on their favorites. Every week the best of the best get printed on tshirts, are sold to the masses, and the artists get paid for their work. But they also run themed contests where artists have to create a design that reflects a certain idea, thought, or phrase. And look what we have here, a brand new contest featuring our baby Bioshock. The theme for the contest is "Descent into Rapture" and all designs have to reflect that phrase, but the contest only started on March 1st so both the submissions and quality are lacking. At the end of the contest the best submission will be printed and we'll get a Bioshock related tshirt! So far we love KDLIG's "Dead Sucker" submission, but are looking forward to what the amazingly talented folks over there have to offer. Be sure to check the entries page regularly and vote for the best design ... and it better be good!

  • Widget Watch: destroy your productivity with the Threadless Vote widget

I have to admit: I'm a nut for Threadless. The t-shirt design submissions that actually go to print after voting can certainly be hit or miss sometimes, but they crank out enough to keep me coming back for more. As if combing their site for new threads isn't enough of a time-waster, someone decided to curse my productivity by creating a Threadless Vote widget that allows you to browse and rate submissions. You need to have a free account already created with Threadless, but after that minor step, you can go nuts with tossing in your two cents on which designs make it into their catalog.
