There's really no easy way to say it -- Creative's TravelSound i85 is bordering on unsightly, so devout fashionistas should probably look elsewhere. For those who always put design second and utility first, this here device adds a portable speaker and FM tuning abilities to Apple's fourth-generation iPod nano (the tall, thin one, for those unaware) and even includes a built-in rechargeable battery for pumping out up to 15 hours of house jams. Aside from operating as a gaudy wrist adornment, it can also double as a stand (horizontally or vertically), though there's no Dock Connector pass-through (just a miniUSB plug). Worth $99.99? That's between you and the monster underneath your bed.[Via FarEastGizmos]

Put your accessory fears to rest Creative fans, there's a speaker dock available to swaddle your Zen Stone or new Stone Plus. Priced at just ¥3,980 (about $32), the TravelSound Zen Stone speaker is primed for all the itty-bitty, 0.2W x 2-channel thimble thumpin' action you can handle. Better yet, it'll annoy the audiophile in your family for up to 21-hours off battery. Available Amos 'n Andy or Martin 'n Lewis. Think about it.

Although Creative gave us a peep at their wireless Xdock iPod accessory at CES, they've come up visibly short in delivering Made for iPod gear as agreed in their settlement with Apple back in August. Today, however, Creative is making amends by kicking out modified TravelSound and PlayDock speaker docks with real iPod docking action. There's nothing new here of course, the PlayDock i500 ("i" for you know what) and TravelSound I are just the PlayDock z500 ("z" for Zen, natch) and TravelSound ZEN V all gussied-up with a "Made for iPod" logo and iPod dock connector -- which isn't a bad thing. Still, Creative will have to sell a lot of these when they hit later this month (in Japan anyway) for Apple's cut to offset the $100m they paid out to Creative. Isn't litigation fun?[Via Impress]
