Talismoon has now posted an product page for the Tiltboard, a mod for the Xbox 360 controller that swaps the use of the right analog stick for relative motion-based controls similar to the Sixaxis and Wii remote. Switching between the motion controls and the analog stick, as well as calibration and sensitivity adjustment, are done via two buttons that stick out of the back of the controller. Creator Adam Thole sent Joystiq a picture of the back of a "Tiltboarded" gamepad, shown above, this morning. The mod cost $39.99 and unfortunately right now it comes as a kit for you to install yourself. But for those really longing for motion-based simulation in their Xbox 360 titles, this is probably your best bet for now. The Tiltboard will start shipping next week.[Via X3F]

Modder Adam Thole has unveiled the second generation of his tiltBoard 360, providing motion-based controls to the one console that doesn't use them. The tilting functions act as an input for however you used the right analog stick.New to this version is the ability to calibrate, adjust sensitivity, invert the Y-direction and switch between using the analog stick and motion controls "In game." While appreciate Thole's user-friendly implementation, which involve just tow buttons that are "easily accessible on the outside of the controller," the press release claims, we don't currently have a picture of the buttons on the exterior, relegated currently to internal shots. We've contacted both Adam Thole and distributor Talismoon for more information. The new version of tiltBoard 360 is scheduled to ship the second half of this month for an estimated price of $34.99.[Via Engadget]

The mod lovers over at Xbox-Scene discovered this tilt sensing mod for the Xbox 360 controller. Created with an accelerometer and some digital-to-analog wizardry, the controller functions in much the same way as the PS3 SIXAXIS controller. The tilt fuctions are mapped to the left analog stick, so tilt input will be limited to movement. Of course, all of this sounds great on paper, but most of us just want to see it in action. Lucky for us all, the mod's creator, Adam Thole, captured a video of the tilt controller in all its glory. Check it out after the break.
