How will sir be having his gimmick today? The devs behind the upcoming Sly Cooper 3D compilation are wisely mulling over the idea of inserting a 3D-adjusting slider to let users decide just how much stereoscopy they want with their Sony-approved gaming. It's argued that this should allow you greater positional flexibility when smacking fools down in three dimensions, as you'll be able to manually toggle the depth of the 3D effect to suit your viewing angle. We were happy to see such an option introduced in the Nintendo 3DS at E3 and would similarly welcome its inclusion on the PS3 -- though that's no foregone conclusion as yet. All we can say for sure right now is that the stuff is adjustable, but it looks like it'll be up to devs to roll their sleeves up and integrate the slider into their games. Hey, it's the summer, not like they've got anything else to do, right?

If you're a fan of Aika, times have been kind. The unfortunate business with the cash shop has been resolved equitably, and there's a new large-scale arena in town to help strengthen the game's focus on epic PvP. All that would be enough to keep players content for some time, but rather than resting on their laurels, the development team is planning a brand-new expansion. And it promises to be large... if the screenshot above is to be believed, it may even be dinosauric. Titled Ashes of Betrayal, the expansion promises to include a large amount of new content as well as an increase in the level cap. While there aren't many details available at this point on the specifics, the team is shooting for a mid-June release. Like Aika itself, the expansion promises to be free, so keep your eyes peeled for more news on what's coming down the pipe. Considering how quickly the expansion is coming and how recently the game was released, the future looks bright.

Over at Flying Lab, they're doing their part to make Pirates of the Burning Sea an enjoyable and balanced game. It's their job! So in a recent developer log, we get word of a revamp to the economy through streamlining items, structures and the recently introduced insurance for ships. This will all be accomplished through an extensive process of removing redundant crafting items in provision making and ship building, plus a readjustment of how insurance will work. What do you do with all of those obsolete items in your inventory? Luckily, they've created a merchant who will turn any obsolete good into its base raw material. Check out the lengthy developer log for complete information on what they plan to change.
