There are only two Virtual Console games this week in Japan, but of course for the US that would be a massive week. Both are sports-themed, and both are excellent. Well, actually, we've never played the PC Engine version of Super Dodge Ball, developed by Naxat, but it is Super Dodge Ball, and thus probably wonderful. Mario Golf needs no explanation. Mario Golf 64 (Nintendo 64, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points) Nekketsu Koukou Dodge Ball-bu: PC Bangai Hen (PC Engine, 1-2 players, 600 Wii Points) The biggest news in WiiWare (as in, the game that no other region has and is thus news) is Aero Guitar, Yudo's Wiimote rhythm game, which we're hoping to see more of now that some people can buy it. Tsuushin Taiyoku World Chess (1-2 players, 1,000 Wii Points) Wi-Fi 8-Player Bomberman (1-8 players, 1,000 Wii Points) Aero Guitar (1 player, 800 Wii Points)

It's nothing magical -- just downloadable songs, although EA may find that magical. Yudo's Aero Guitar, expected to release this summer, will have periodic offerings of downloadable music. We don't know how often this will occur or how much the music will cost -- it depends on Yudo's view of the game. Either Aero Guitar is a cheap game and thus requires cheap bonus content, or Aero Guitar the game is just the first step in a long-term music download business. More likely, a few content packs will be available for 500 points or so, as a selling point for the game.Famitsu's latest coverage of the game confirms that it is controlled with Wiimote and Nunchuk motions, though the exact details of the control scheme have yet to be revealed.%Gallery-24504%

Yudo recently announced a WiiWare project called Aero Guitar, which the company hopes to release this summer. Costing 800 points (and then offering additional downloadable content), the game is aiming for Japanese, North American, and European regions. Although Aero Guitar is meant to be played with the Wiimote, the screens don't really clarify whether or not it will involve waggle, button-pushing, or a combination of both. An 800 point guitar game for WiiWare sounds ridiculously tempting, though -- let's just hope that it's good.%Gallery-24504%[Via GoNintendo]
