The Barker quests for the Brewfest are fixed for almost everyone at this point. Unfortunately, some people are still unable to get credit when riding near flags and Blizzard is looking into it. Blizzard CM Drysc and Event Developer Kisirani have been giving updates for fixing the Bugfest. If you are still having trouble with a Barker quest, here is some info for making sure it's not you: You can only do one Barker quest a day. Double check your Daily Quest total in your Quest Log to make sure you haven't already completed it. There are two competitors vying for your barking prowess, but once you work for one brewer, the other won't offer you the quest until the next day. If you failed it, you can abandon the quest and try again. You have to be on your Rental Ram when going past the flags or else you will not get credit. Once you get all four flags, however, you can use your mount to race back to the brewer. More Brewfest updates after the jump...

  • Barker lays smackdown on Ebert about games not being art

Speaking with Scott Steinberg on the latest Digital Trends podcast, horror guru Clive Barker calls Roger "game's can't be high art" Ebert a "pompous, arrogant old man" and says "he's not going to stop us from making games or enjoying them or... making them art." Barker even says that he planned to write a nasty letter to Ebert, but then backed down after discovering Ebert had cancer. Well, at least Barker has a heart and isn't completely about ripping them out while they're still beating.Barker goes on to say that he thinks one day games will be viewed as art just like old Disney animated films are now. There's a lot more in the podcast about the topic. We're not that concerned about the "games as art" debate because we're sure in time the critics will come around. Although we're not too sure if Barker's Jericho would be on that art list before Shadow of the Colossus or Katamari Damacy.[Via GameDaily]

  • An empty E3 show floor? Only at the Barker Hangar

Here's something we bet you've never seen before today -- an open E3 show floor that isn't flooded wall-to-wall with people. The much-reduced invite list might have something to do with it, but personally, we feel it was a bad move to put the show floor at the Barker Hangar, which is roughly five thousand miles* from everything else. Still there were some nice games out there, and the Joystiq crew will be making the long, long journey throughout the show to give you some hands-on impressions.* - Your mileage may vary.
