Spring is finally here for real. Sure, the nights are cold, but the days are getting longer and the temperature is finally climbing a little bit. It's a good time to get outside and enjoy some fair reminders of the warmer days to come. And no song celebrates the fruit of the season quite like Peaches. Bonkey's WoW-rendition of this classic song is probably still my favorite. With an all-star cast of machinima legends, Peaches is the ultimate celebration of fun, community, and thank-the-Light-for-the-weather. Interested in the wide world of machinima? The question of our own mortality is one of the defining conundrums of our existence. How do we sum up our lives? In our final moments in this mortal shell, what are the important thoughts and feelings that will play back in our head? In this beautiful video, Bonkey attempts to answer some of that. The title is simply Looking Back. As a man lies dying on his bed, we spend three minutes seeing through his eyes. Some of the scenes are joyful and comforting, while others are a little more haunting. This is one of my favorite machinima pieces in a while. The narrative is not complex or overwhelming, but the final theme is strong and moving. Truly, my hat's off to Bonkey for Looking Back. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Sometimes, you can't be quite sure whether it's the main boss of a new expansion that's frightening everyone, or maybe just the new expansion itself. While I'm not sure that was his intent, Bonkey certainly captured that dynamic with Deathly Squares. It's Bonkey's contest entry into the Cataclysm commercial contest, and it includes some help from Jesse O'Connor and Paus. Like all of the commercial contest videos, Deathly Squares is very brief. Check it out and let us know what you think. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Hogger's Treasure was created by Bonkey. As the story goes, the most famous gnoll of Elwynn Forest has grown tired of the Alliance (well, mostly gnomes) constantly killing him and his brethren. As any noble leader should, Hogger hatches a plan to stem that tide of blood and goes off in search of a treasure that will secure his people's safety. This is a fun piece and I was happy to see it. It can be easy to lose sight of this kind of machinima among the sea of satires and music videos, so it's become a breath of fresh air whenever we see a story-based machinima. I definitely enjoyed it and I kind of hope Bonkey continues the story of Hogger's later adventures. I think he could punch Deathwing in the face. Interested in the wide world of machinima?
