On the second day of November, we're right in the eye of the storm -- there are far more high-quality games being released than we know what to do with. While you might think that our heart is the body part most affected during this madness, our right butt cheek can hardly withstand the constant withdrawal and replacement of our wallet. Thankfully, Amazon is offering a buy two/get one sale this week, reducing our wallet maneuvers by a cool two thirds. Everything from StarCraft 2 to Kirby's Epic Yarn is available -- many below retail price as is -- with the third (and lowest priced) being deducted from the total cost at the point of sale. Of course, we'll be picking up Just Dance 2, Wii Party, and Wii Sports Resort. Holiday pounds be damned! [Thanks, Kyle]

Oh, man. It's starting. Target's responding to other retailers' offers on games with one of its own: Beginning Sunday and running through next week, shoppers who pick up two 360, PS3 or Wii games can grab a third game of equal or lesser value for freeskies. By which, of course, we mean for free.

Every couple of months or so, GameStop gets bored with its usual routine of selling all of its used games and accessories, so it goes on weekend-long tears where it starts giving them away with the purchase of two other items. Fortunately for all of us, this is one of those weekends.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Amazon is now offering a special buy two, get one free deal on Xbox 360 Platinum Hits titles. The deal is fairly straightforward: just pop three Platinum Hits games into your cart and the cheapest of the three will be knocked down to the wallet-friendly price of zero dollars. It's really the perfect excuse to pick up some great games you might have missed, especially considering many of them have sequels out this year -- notably Fable II, Halo 3, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, BioShock and Dead Rising. You'd better do it quick though, as the offer is only valid through February 13 and only while supplies last. [Thanks, Goldenchild]
