We have been tracking the carnival of gamers for months now, and its latest stop seems to be at Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert's footsteps. With the self-proclaimed grumpy gamer playing as ringleader, we are given a wide variety of intellectual treats from articles discussing the merits of abandonware, the score system of NiGHTS into Dreams, and the obnoxious PR from Sony HQ. We love the Carnival for scouring the internet and given us a heap of interesting gaming goodness. Check it out.Follow the trail!Carnival of Gamers #15: roll up, roll up!Carnival of Gamers celebrates first anniversaryCarnival of Gamers gets n3rfedCarnival of Gamers rolls on to Virgin WorldsCarnival of Gamers gathers under Slashdot's tent

It's that time of month again -- the Carnival of Gamers has made its fourteenth stop, coincidentally marking its first anniversary (there were two last June). This regular collection of game writing from around the blogosphere is a delightful way to get some alternate opinions aired and always seems to be worth the reading time. This month's edition covers casual vs hardcore gaming; the Wii; violence and politics; modern MMO issues; and a few other juicy topics from co-op gaming to the ESRB. There's plenty of thought-provoking material in true Carnival style.See also:Carnival of Gamers gets n3rfedCarnival of Gamers rolls on to Virgin WorldsCarnival of Gamers gathers under Slashdot's tent

This month's Carnival of Gamers is gathered under the big tent of Slashdot, and the watchful eye of ringmaster, Zonk. The assortment of interesting and notable posts from gaming blogs around the internet reads like "this month in game blogs." Some favorites include VGM Watch's take on 1UP's strategy guide fiasco; PlayNoEvil's consideration of the legitimization of virtual economies; and Design Synthesis encouraging us to check out some abandonware, and appreciate the older games (I recommend Out of this World). As intended, a great collection of links with something for everyone; perfect reading if you aren't interested in watching the "footbowl" thing on the TV.
