The film is based on a quest in the Eastern Plaguelands, where a young girl, Pamela, is wandering the land looking for her family. Firebolt productions, previously known for their second place win in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest for Ugly Goblin's Christmas, did an amazing job adapting the quest into a stunning storyline. Machinimators have quickly learned that if they want special 3D animations or sets done, Pinkhair is the man for the job. Previously known for his Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest entry that narrowly missed being in the top three, he has helped artists such as BaronSoosdon and Ian Beckman in his spare time.In honor of Olibith receiving double platinum on WCM for "I'm only sleeping", Pinkhair finished a timelapse of the saucy filmmaker using Lightwave. WoW Moviewatch: In for a Penny Prologue
When I first saw Selserene's Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest entry, I knew that she would be someone to watch in 2008. Her latest video, In for a Penny: Prologue, certainly doesn't prove me wrong. The editing is brilliant, the storyline is engaging, and well, it's just awesome. As always, if you liked the movie, you can download the high quality version.When a clueless blonde ends up in the wrong part of town, she uncovers a seedy underworld like no other. A seductive belf temptress lures a strapping belf lad to bed, which leads him to discover a body outside. When the police arrive, he is falsely arrested for the crime.It's a little too convenient if you ask me. Hell hath no fury like a belf woman scorned. WoW Moviewatch: In for a Penny Teaser - Belf Love
Selserene, the machinimator responsible for the fifth place entry in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest, has released a trailer for her upcoming machinima, In for a Penny. IFAP is a film noir that will be broken into two parts, consisting of the prologue, and the movie itself. However, you can enjoy her teaser trailer, which does not reflect on the entire movie, now! Set in black and white, a sexy blood elf lady is watched by a gnome playing a piano. While it's raining outside, she decides to get a little freaky in the bedroom. As a side note, while working on this scene, Selserene discovered that blood elf males are about as "equipped" as a Ken doll!Previously on Moviewatch...

WoW Moviewatch: A Warsong Carol
I know that there were only three winners to the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest, but some of the runners up were really good! The fourth place tale was inspired by A Christmas Carol. Pinkhair was limited by the 8 minute maximum rule, so he expanded it a bit for the viewers! Please note that the version on Warcraftmovies is slightly different from this one.When the Robber Baron of Warsong Gulch, Caddington, goes to sleep one night, he is visited by three ghosts. When they attempt to show him his evil ways, he is indifferent. Will he have a change of heart or will he die? Pinkhair did quite a good job for this being his first completed movie. What do you get when you cross a human, an elf, and a murloc? The Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest third place winner, of course! Lafawnduh created Ultimate Snowdown to remind us what Christmas is all about - sticking it to the man. Wait, no. It was about those darn murlocs!When a human sets off for that perfect holiday tree, he doesn't expect to encounter competition. Not ready to give up his territory, he takes the petty way out and pelts the elf with a snowball. As the elf gathers a posse, the human has no choice but to do the same, erupting into an all out snowball war. After a lifetime of Christmas coal, Sazabi, the orc, and his pet, Kitty, are fed up. However, instead of trapping Santa, as they originally planned, they end up getting stuck with all of the deliveries. It seems as if Santa has decided to take the night off. With Kitty as his trusty steed, Sazabi sets off into the night, but encounters some unexpected problems. If he can survive, he'll be greatly rewarded, but will he pull it off?Kudos go to FireShifT, who took 1st place in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest! A Big, Bad, Green Christmas had a higher percentage than most of the entries combined. Today brings us the second place winner of the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest, Ugly Goblin's Christmas. Firebolt Productions, inspired by the classic book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, have weaved a tale that warmed my heart. With the quality editing and excellent soundtrack, they were able to make the story its own, despite not being an original idea.Kryll is a lonely goblin, holed up in a mountain where no one will bother him, or so he thinks. When the children of the village decide to harass him, he sets a plan in motion that will shock and destroy the townsfolk. Yesterday, we highlighted the 3rd place winner in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Machinima Contest. Today brings us the 2nd place entry, Ugly Goblin's Christmas. It is a World of Warcraft spin on an old classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. While the story may not be original, with the help of an original soundtrack and strong editing, it is still quite moving.Firebolt Productions tells the tale of a lonely goblin, Kryll, who is the subject of mockery among the town's children. To exact his revenge, he plants an evil gift under the town Christmas tree. However, at the last minute, he has a change of heart. Will he get there in time? Rather than calmly resolve the dispute, they resort to a snowball fight that ... snowballs out of control. As their friends get involved, there is an epic power struggle. Cinemassively: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
WoW! It's December already. Not only are you putting decorations out in real life, but you're also collecting holiday loot in your favorite MMOs. Apparently Gabriel Moran didn't get the memo about the exclusivity clause in the WarcraftMovies Christmas Spirit contest. His loss is your gain!Gabriel invited his guildmates along for the ride in this Machinima homage to Bing Crosby's version of "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." He mixed framed screenshots with scenes of gnomes singing and reindeer flying, among other things. The credits provide a special treat, as Cole and the chipmunks sing their way into our hearts. I can't wait to see more Christmas machinima!
WarcraftMovies holding annual Christmas Spirit Machinima Contest
Enterprising Machinimists have from today until December 20th, 2007 to deck the halls of World of Warcraft. WarcraftMovies is holding their annual Christmas Spirit Contest and they're feeling quite generous! They're giving out $600 USD in prizes, plus premium membership to their site. WCM will pick the top 5-10 entries for voting between December 21st and December 23rd, 2007, with the winner being announced on the 23rd.Entries must be between 1 and 8 minutes long, including promo and credits. Multiple entries are allowed, but the content should mainly focus on WoW. Please note that the movie requires their promo clip at the beginning, and it must remain exclusively on WarcraftMovies until the winners have been announced.
