The fourth game in Gaijin Games' retro-esque, musical Bit.Trip series arrives in Europe today, three days before Commander Video runs across the Atlantic Ocean. Should your tastes run more toward shooting than running, you can play Ghoul Patrol, the second game about zombies having eaten someone's neighbors. DSiWare is packed with stuff, including EnjoyUp's original DS version of Chronos Twins and a time-management game about fire trucks. Ghoul Patrol (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) Bit.Trip Runner (WiiWare, 1 player, 800 Wii Points) AiRace (DSiWare, 1-6 players, 500 DSi Points) Brain Drain (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) Chronos Twins (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) Fire Panic (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) Sudoku Challenge! (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

  • NintendoWare Weekly: Muscle March, Dark Void Zero, Starship Defense

Today is probably the best day for DSiWare since the system launched. Four games arrive on the service, two of which we can honestly call "anticipated," and one of which we probably would have anticipated had we known it was coming. Capcom's cool DSiWare Dark Void prequel arrives just in time to help promote its big-system counterpart, and it's joined by a DSiWare release of a once-Europe-exclusive game and a new Q-Games release. And all of that awesome DSiWare content is going to be overshadowed by Muscle March on WiiWare.

It seems the past few weeks of excitement, chock full of NintendoWare releases, have come to an end. Other than the launch of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on WiiWare, this week's offerings don't exactly fill our hearts with unfettered joy. That being said, if you're into variations of puzzle games, boy is it your week! Hit the break for the full release list. %Gallery-78467%

  • Make time for Chronos Twins DX on WiiWare next week

The original DS version of Chronos Twin was released in Europe in 2007, but never made it to North America. The WiiWare update on the time-traveling action game, however, will be, thanks to the fact that developer Enjoy Up doesn't have to seek a publishing partner for a digital release. Not only will Chronos Twins DX be coming to North America, Enjoy Up says it will be released next week. See a trailer after the break to decide whether that's good news or not. For our part, the Reflection-like concept of playing in two places simultaneously, combined with the idea of altering something in one time period to change the other, sounds like an excellent setup for some puzzle platforming.

  • Space Invaders Extreme shows up on ESRB database along with miscellaneous game

The latest ESRB rating update fuels the pretty believable rumor that Square Enix will be releasing Space Invaders Extreme in the U.S. The Rez-like shooter has shown up in the database, with the same E rating seen on the boxart. Wait, did they release that boxart before the ESRB issued their rating? While we're (very) happy to see Space Invaders Extreme, we find the listing for Docomodake more interesting. Why would Ignition Entertainment choose to localize a game about the mascot for Japan's NTT DoCoMo cell phone company? The game sounds vaguely interesting, but will they have to pay NTT DoCoMo for the rights to the character? Or will DoCoMo be happy to advertise in a country where they don't offer services? Also seen on the ESRB page: Chronos Twin, the bizarre time-travel sidescroller that occurs simultaneously in two time periods.See also: 2008's Biggest Blips -- Space Invaders Extreme[Via Siliconera]
