Nintendo celebrates Valentine's Day with a licensed WiiWare game about some Korean cartoon character. It sounds a lot less random when you find out that Pucca's Kisses Game is about a young girl hoping to kiss a boy (who happens to be a ninja). Sadly, the two WiiWare demos don't quite fit the V-day theme, unless you consider blowing up baby chickens or splitting your consciousness across two time periods romantic. And we hope, for several reasons, that you don't. DSiWare features a game about a guy searching for treasure to impress a girl, which is a suitably grandiose romantic gesture for the day. Also, pandas!%Gallery-116590%

We don't even have to try to explain the significance of today's Virtual Console game. It's Super Mario Kart. Well, okay, for our younger audience members: Super Mario Kart is like Mario Kart Wii, but older. Europe's been on a roll recently, first with the Hanabi Festival granting Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and others, and now Super Mario Kart! DSiWare has four games this week, including the remake of the Amiga Oscar in Movieland and Puzzle to Go Diddl, a jigsaw puzzle game whose title we're doing our very best not to giggle about. Super Mario Kart (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) Family Mini Golf (WiiWare, 1-8 players, 500 Wii Points) Chronos Twins DX (WiiWare, 1 player, 700 Wii Points) AiRace: Tunnel (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) Oscar in Movieland (DSiWare, 1 player, 800 DSi Points) Puzzle to Go Diddl (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) Spaceball Revolution (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

It seems the past few weeks of excitement, chock full of NintendoWare releases, have come to an end. Other than the launch of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on WiiWare, this week's offerings don't exactly fill our hearts with unfettered joy. That being said, if you're into variations of puzzle games, boy is it your week! Hit the break for the full release list. %Gallery-78467%

  • Make time for Chronos Twins DX on WiiWare next week

The original DS version of Chronos Twin was released in Europe in 2007, but never made it to North America. The WiiWare update on the time-traveling action game, however, will be, thanks to the fact that developer Enjoy Up doesn't have to seek a publishing partner for a digital release. Not only will Chronos Twins DX be coming to North America, Enjoy Up says it will be released next week. See a trailer after the break to decide whether that's good news or not. For our part, the Reflection-like concept of playing in two places simultaneously, combined with the idea of altering something in one time period to change the other, sounds like an excellent setup for some puzzle platforming.
