A new action figure from McFarlane Toys was announced today at New York Comic-Con, and it's one bound to make fans of Telltale's The Walking Dead happy: say hello to the miniature, plastic version of Clementine as she appears in The Walking Dead, Season 2. Developed as a partnership between McFarlane Toys, Telltale and The Walking Dead comics publisher Skybound, the figure will be available in "clean" and "bloody" versions. As for when we can expect our favorite, most adorable zombie-slayer to patrol our desks and bookshelves, the only word is "soon." [Image: McFarlane Toys/Skybound]

Zen Studios is developing a table inspired by Telltale Games' The Walking Dead series for its pinball games. The table will launch across console, mobile and PC versions of Pinball FX 2 and Zen Pinball 2 this summer. The table will "bring the story and choice-driven gameplay" of the game's first season to the pinball series, complete with original dialogue from The Walking Dead's cast. Zen Studios' undead pinball table will offer locations based on Telltale's first five episodes, including Clementine's treehouse, Everett's pharmacy and "down the tracks to the walker-infested streets of Savannah." As the game rolls on, players will need to choose who lives and who dies during a zombie attack, search for food and supplies and improve their group's morale, not unlike the decisions they were pressed with in The Walking Dead as well. Zen Studios issued a brief teaser trailer that shows series stars Clementine and Lee as well as the table itself. [Image: Zen Studios]

The second season of Telltale's The Walking Dead kicks off on Xbox 360 next week and, based on this premiere trailer, it looks like it's going to be a heart-wrenching episode full of death and despair. Clementine looks like she won't be all alone throughout the entire episode as players once again struggle with keeping her safe. The first episode of the second season, All That Remains, will be available on the Xbox Games Store on December 18 for $5. A season pass will also be available alongside the first episode for $15. Telltale has not announced a launch date for other platforms, though the Steam listing for the game says All That Remains will be available on PC and Mac on December 17.

  • Clementine's life is in your hands in The Walking Dead season two

Sweet, darling Clementine. She wasn't the main protagonist in season one of Telltale's The Walking Dead, but she stole the show for many players – including us. Season one wasn't about staying alive to fight another day or to wrack up the most zombie murders; it was about keeping Clementine safe and helping her grow into a strong person, even if that meant seeing disappointment in her cel-shaded eyes. In All That Remains, the first episode of season two, protecting Clementine is still important, but there's a twist: She's the main, playable protagonist. Her life is at the mercy of your fingertips. All That Remains director Dennis Lenart tells Joystiq that this is a unique, emotionally charged position for players. "We're all coming in still being really protective of her, and now that the controller is in your hands, there's a weird thing where half of you is playing as her, and then half of you is also still kind of protective of her. It's a really interesting thing. It's so hard usually to get people to really care about the characters they're controlling, as far as getting them injured or killed, because you can just go to the restart screen. So far it's been really cool – people feel that she's in genuine danger and feel very protective over her. It's still kind of a similar thing [to season one], except now the controller is directly in your hands, protecting her," he says.

Telltale Games took to Twitter to tease the return of a familiar face in the opening episode of The Walking Dead's second season. The episode, titled "All That Remains," is expected to launch this month. Telltale already broke the news in July that Clementine, the leading lady of the adventure game's first season, would be a part of the second season in some capacity. As for the other character, we've placed the original screen Telltale tweeted after the break to account for those that consider it just a little too much of a spoiler. No, the image above does not indicate that Kitten McFluffykins is returning in All That Remains, but that would be pretty unexpected, wouldn't it?

Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors told San Diego Comic-Con panel attendees that The Walking Dead darling Clementine "will definitely be a part of" the game's second season. Likewise, the fate of another character, Kenny, "will be explored." Further details concerning Season 2 were not offered. The Walking Dead: 400 Days was released this month and served as a short bridge into the next season.
