We're getting some solid information about Jagex's upcoming Transformers Universe from the recent London MCM Expo. The team took to the stage to talk about the title, revealing quite a few new details -- including the revelation that the game won't be confined to just Earth. The team is making Transformers Universe with the intention to keep the game going for at least 10 years; it has latched onto the "Universe" moniker to indicate it will eventually expand the game from our terrestrial ball to the stars (including Cybertron). Transformers Universe will use Energon as the game's currency, and while the team will use microtransactions to fund this free-to-play title, the exact model has not been finalized. Players will be able to pick between male and female characters and will use their alternate (non-robotic) modes for more than just transportation. At the game launch, players will be able to transform only into vehicles, but Jagex says that there are plans in the works for other forms such as animals. [Thanks to Austin for the tip!]

Sure, it looks like the Eee, it sports the same CPU as the Eee, heck, it even appears to use the Eee's OS -- but it's actually the CM900! What does that mean? Well for starters, you'll pay more money for less computer ($349.99 for a 2GB system, the same price for a 4GB ASUS)... but of course you'll have that CybertronPC name to fall back on. Honestly, we'd say this was a rebrand if it weren't for the minor differences in specs, and who knows -- maybe it is. If not, however, this is the knock-offingest knock-off we've seen in a good long while. Far be it from us to condemn the CybertronPC gang for trying to get in while the gettin's good, but maybe next time these guys could at least give us a fair shake on the storage / price breakdown?[Thanks, Brian]

Yesterday, we showed you the box art for Transformers: The Game Cybertron Edition, though at the time we didn't have any further details other than how it will look on store shelves. Well, now we've got the rundown of what sets the CE apart. First off, it's exclusively available at EBStop, which could be another article on its own. The CE will also have two bonus "Cybertron" levels, one for Decepticons and the other for Autobots. The second DVD will come with Behind the Scenes interviews with Shia Labeouf, as well as the voice actors for Optimus Prime and Megatron, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. Finally, a prequel comic book will be packed in the limited edition packaging, and you can have it all for the MSRP of $69.99. Do you think it's worth it?

Before the current console war raged on, there was an altogether different war: One waged on the planet Cybertron between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Of course, with a cameo in the upcoming Transformers film and its very own collector's edition release (named after their planet of origin, natch), we're pretty sure we know who Activision thinks the Autobots are.But we know you're not content with mere proof of its existence, so peep the details of the EB Games / Gamestop-exclusive Transformer the Game: Cybertron Edition after the break:
