The classic point-and-click adventure game Day of the Tentacle was released a hair over 25 years ago, so fans have been waiting a long time for a follow-up. With little sign of Double Fine releasing another entry in the series, some fans have taken the initiative to create their own, unofficial sequel. It's called Return of the Tentacle and you can download it right now for Windows, Mac and Linux. Best of all, the game is available for the low, low price of zero dollars.

This week Double Fine is releasing Day of the Tentacle Remastered, on PS4 and PC (OS X / Mac version arrives tomorrow), complete with updated art and new developer commentary. Beyond watching your brackets get torn to shreds, there's also the last Hunger Games movie on Blu-ray, and the series finale of Lost Girl. Star Wars Battlefront players also have DLC to look forward to, and a new season of Stitchers gets started this week. Finally, tonight a The Art of Organized Noize documentary drops on Netflix, bringing a behind the scenes look at the Atlanta collective that birthed Outkast, Goodie Mob and others. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

Double Fine isn't counting solely on a crowdfunded Psychonauts sequel to capture your imagination -- it just unveiled a ton of new projects at Sony's PlayStation Experience event. The highlight (at least for gamers of a certain age) is a remastered version of Full Throttle, Tim Schafer's action/adventure classic. It's not certain just when the motorcycle-heavy game will arrive, but it'll be available on both the PS4 and PlayStation Vita.

Joystiq reader Omer van Kloeten sent us this picture of his painting, a tribute to the old LucasArts adventure game Day of the Tentacle. We're intrigued that he kept the pixelated look when he had the artistic license to smooth out the edges. You can view the entire process here.
