Robinemia is weary of humans and their constant taunting of the Forsaken with their insistence on living. So she is staging a protest Saturday night. When: Saturday, July 30 at 11 p.m. EDT (8 p.m. PDT, 9 p.m. server time) Where: Deathknell (Forsaken starter town) on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) Who: Forsaken only, any level (I suppose death knights can come, too.) What: March to Stormwind How: Ask Robinemia or any It came from the Blog member for an invite, if you do not already belong to one of our guilds. If you are on a trial account, just tag along. Motto: Protest the living! This is not a PVP event, though our unlives may be in danger since we will be entering enemy territory. This is just a peaceful protest march to which all of the undead are invited to participate. If you do not have an active U.S. account; you can sign up for the trial and add to the body count. (You just won't be able to join a raid or talk in our in-game event chat.) As usual, I will be streaming the event. Basic instructions will be given on our event chat channel, and more detailed instructions will be given on the stream. Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) in It came from the Blog. Any member can invite, so /whisper Robinemia or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Visit the guild FAQ for more details.

  • "I Hate You, E3," declares Escapist writer

Okay, so maybe not hate completely. The eye-catching title of an essay from the latest installment of The Escapist puts the emphasis on the negative aspect of the love-hate relationship many industry vets have with E3, but there's surprisingly a lot of love for the trade show here, even if you don't subscribe to the hardened "I hate E3 because I love it" theory of convention devotion. While the Joystiq staff hasn't been to quite as many E3s as the founder of the International Game Journalists Association (IGJA), we can certainly empathize with the world-weariness that might accumulate after years of weeklong death- press-marches and working in overcrowded, sensory-overloaded spaces. We just hope our love of the game(s) will stay with us as it has for Mr. Thomas, whether we're watching from home or working the show floor in person in post-apocalyptic L.A. The parties will be sure to be awesome.See also: Joystiq at E3 2006 mega-site The Escapist's big E3 issue this week, with references within to Joystiq's Paris Hilton story and some E3 party pics orig. from Joystiq The Game of Journalism -- the IGJA's official web site
