Finding new music can be difficult. And sure, internet radio services like Pandora are all well and good, but can you really trust their algorithms to chose your music for you? What you need is an experienced tastemaker, like Quincy Jones or Tiësto or those dudes in Disturbed, whatever their names are. Thankfully, all of the above and Operation Ivy expats Rancid have signed up to create the first round of Artist Apps for Spotify, which can be downloaded now via the desktop verison's left nav bar.

This month, the Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero DLC party starts off with a high-pitched bang, with three solid Queen tracks hitting the storefront later today. That bang becomes a guttural scream the week after, when Avenged Sevenfold drops a few songs. That scream becomes an "eww-ah-ah-ah-ah" one more week later, when Disturbed throws its hat in the ring. Finally, Shinedown will have some songs added to the service. (We don't know enough about their musical offerings to continue the metaphor.) Click past the jump to see the full list of songs, release dates and prices.

Next week's Rock Band DLC is quite ... eclectic? Yeah, let's go with that. With such variety, there's sure to be something that people will love -- or love to hate, which is typically the case. There's a track pack from chart-topping band Disturbed, with three songs off its 10th anniversary edition of The Sickness album. Meanwhile, Grammy-nominated band Silversun Pickups also contribute a couple more tracks to the DLC pile. Click past the jump for the full list of new additions!

With no real change to Rock Band Weekly since the Iron Maiden announcement a couple weeks ago, we gave the long-running feature a break last week during the E3 madness. However, the newbie, Rock Band Wiikly, still has to work it this week. Not only did it receive the aforementioned Iron Maiden content, but an additional 13 tracks previously released on the other consoles. Don't forget to download "Charlene" from Stephen and the Colberts for free. Check out the full list after the break.

This week's Wii Rock Band DLC offering not only delivers the eclectic mix from last week's Rock Band Weekly announcement, but also adds ample variety of its own. With 25 tracks available, across many different genres of music, there's likely something in the list to satiate the DLC track hunger. This is the dim sum of Rock Band Wiikly announcements. Check out the full list after the break.

Have you ever gold-starred your favorite song on Rock Band, and briefly thought that you could embarrass the artists who originally recorded the track in a head-to-head showdown? Well, based on what we've seen from major-label bands that have tried their hand at Harmonix's rockstar simulator, that probably wouldn't be terribly difficult -- regardless, Spike TV will be pitting the three highest ranked groups of faux troubadours against three actual bands in a Rock Band 2 countdown special tonight at 11:30 PM EST.The show, titled 30 Minutes to Midnight, will feature Judas Priest, Cheap Trick and Disturbed playing their respective Rock Band 2 tracks against the top three bands of the Xbox Live community: Earth, Wind and Centaur!; Die! in a Fire; and Here Comes a New Challenger. The program will also feature a young man who can apparently pass a song while performing all four parts at once -- and without any of those newfangled robot arms we've been hearing about lately.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

Getting all the video game love lately with some newly released Rock Band DLC, Disturbed and their new Indestructible album have caught Microsoft's eye resulting in Disturbed being June's Xbox Live Artist of the Month. Hip hip hooray! And, as with all AoTM artists, U.S. fanboys can hit up the Xbox Live Marketplace for a free video download to listen to, take in and enjoy. Also, after playing "Inside the Fire" on Rock Band for the first time last night, we 100% agree with Disturbed's AoTM honors, because that song is crazy good. Crazy, crazy good.

This, this may actually be the weirdest Rock Band Weekly ever. This week we get a combo platter of Jimmy Buffet and Disturbed. Our brain actually gave up for the rest of the week on this news, so we've really got nothing else left to add. But, we have pulled out the crushed ice and lime juice and are ready to waste away the weekend. This gives us hope that one day we'll get Abba Gold as a DLC album. Harmonix, make it so!Two packs: Buffet (440 Microsoft Points / $5.50) and Disturbed (240 MS points / $3) "Margaritaville" - Jimmy Buffett (160 MS Points / $2) "Cheeseburger in Paradise" - Jimmy Buffett (160 MS Points / $2) "Volcano" - Jimmy Buffett (160 MS Points / $2) "Indestructible" - Disturbed (80 MS Points / $1) "Inside the Fire" - Disturbed (80 MS Points / $1) "Perfect Insanity" - Disturbed (80 MS Points / $1) Videos for these tracks can be found after the break (one Disturbed video may be NSFW). DLC will be available next Tuesday and Thursday for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.
