The first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode 9 has arrived, along with a few more details about the final installment of the Skywalker saga from a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. Perhaps most importantly, we finally know the movie's full name -- Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

It's been a little while since we've heard from these guys, but they recently dropped me a note to let us know that The Chronicles of Leeroy Episode 9 has been released. In this episode, the Lich King is introduced with the suitably awesome flair you might expect. Celeste makes a new friend in Silverglade, and the pair begin working their way through the Thunderbrew quests. I always love seeing the videos from Herculean Productions. They are a relatively a unique gig in the world of WoW movies, since they use live action actors. All of the people involved in the Leeroy saga are obviously having a great time with the videos, and that kind of fun is contagious for the audience. It's truly great stuff. • The Guild posts episode 9 of season 3

The Guild is back after last week's Halloween interlude, and left at her "wit's end" while leading the guild, Codex decides (with a little prodding) to take the fight to the Axis of Anarchy. And they do so with wacky results as usual -- Zaboo shows that his trysts with the stupid tall hot girl might have given him a whole new side. The video's available in all of the usual places (including after the break on this post), so tune in and give it a watch. There are only three episodes left in the season after this one, which means in three weeks (barring any more holiday-related extras), we'll be seeing a conclusion to this "rival guild" storyline. Will the Knights of Good conquer? Will Vork find his place in the world again? Will Clara find her own domestic bliss? Whatever happens, it's sure to be entertaining as always. Like The Guild? We do, too! We chatted with all of the folks at BlizzCon, including Felicia Day, Sandeep Parikh, and Jeff Lewis and Michele Boyd. We also saw their panel, and the guys were nice enough to stop by our meetup as well. Stay tuned here every Tuesday for a brand new episode of season 3!

  • WoW Moviewatch: Dude, Where's My Mount? Episode 9

Warning: Not safe for work, due to vulgar language and sexual innuendo.Apt T Productions has released the new installment of the DWMM series: Dude Where's My Mount? -- Episode 9. Ah, good ol' DWMM. This is one of my favorite WoW machinima series, but also the one I'm almost starting to fear seeing each time. The production quality of DWMM is absolutely perfect for its scope. DWMM is basically a long series of gags, one liners, and sitcom-like comedy. It really is damned funny. In the opening of Episode 9, there's a boat floating in lava. It's a quick sight gag, but I laughed. And then one of the characters is shown fleeing a pack of squirrels, screaming "They're like furry raptors!" Funny stuff. The voice actors now do a great job, and I can't imagine changing anything about that. But, having said that, some of the jokes are making me wince more and more. This episode takes place, largely, in a strip club called "Tigole Bitties." I thought that kind of thing was funny once, I guess, but not so much nowadays. The racial jokes, the boob jokes, and the whole objectification angle kind of makes this whole episode a guilty pleasure, at best. Now, I'm not trying to get into a rant about this stuff, because there's nothing I can say that would convince anyone of anything they don't already believe. But I will say, wincing over and over did detract from my enjoyment of the series, and I feel like that's happening more each episode. If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ..
