Once again, I have a new comic to list! Keep the tips coming. Somewhere in the list today is the secret identity of last week's "mystery" picture! Check out Noobs, a new comic, and one that is not to be confused with NoObz, which isn't WoW-related this week. Scout Report: We finally find out why Scout's sister is hanging around! This of course leads to a rather strange conversation, about kittens (of a sort). Cru the Dwarf: Bless This Thy Holy Boot. Well, they've reached the Scarlet Monastery. The message at the bottom says it all! Dark Legacy Comics: Gretta's Plan. Experience Points: Vincent is planning his trip to BlizzCon with his new pal, Steve. Experience Points: Vincent hangs out with Steve on patch day. I am kind of afraid of his sandwich. LFG: Meet the Mistress of Magma. NPC: Overcome. NPC: A break seems to be in the couple's future, but Smelly Demographics shows the flaw in the first activity suggested. So, they decide to take a different sort of trip, because they've had Too Much WoW. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. Kuo: This guest comic is awesomely cute, and in translation. For regular comics, evidently, Sylvanas just wasn't as cool before she died. Beyond the Tree: No purse, no pursuit. WoW-eh: The Mis-Adventures of....

  • No experience, no levels in Final Fantasy XIV

Yes, you read the title correctly. You aren't hallucinating from shock or anything like that. In a recent interview with Famitsu, the development team behind Final Fantasy XIV has revealed that the game will not run on an experience and leveling system. This marks a major departure for the Final Fantasy series, as levels have been a staple to the gameplay experience. While the new system of progress has not been confirmed, the development team has said that the new job system will focus primarily on weapons rather than a "class.""We want to afford players enough variety to choose a different way to play on any given day," said Nobuaki Komoto, FFXIV's director. "If they could practice one skill one day, they could work on another one the next."This statement seems to support the idea of a skill system, similar to Ultima Online and Darkfall, becoming the main drive of FFXIV. However, as we've said above, the final system used for progression in the game has not been confirmed. For the full interview, check it out over on YouTube.[Via Eurogamer]

Today, not only do we have a reader submission and a few unexpected updates, a long-dormant but awesome comic has awoken. The Scout Report has updated! Looks like last week's whining was but a moment too soon. Hurray! Cru the Dwarf: Slobberchops. Dark Legacy Comics: Marmalade. Experience Points: Vincent continues on his journey, and finally gets to meet the person who sent the iPhone message. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: World of Stars. NPC: Binge. This is exactly how most days start for me too! NPC: Break. Note: Looking at your Twitter feed, that's hilarious that your Mom said mats! I love it. Teh Gladiators. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: I Blame Blizzard. I totally know this feeling. By now, I should have at least two Azure Whelpling pets, but no. Reader submission from themightysven: Nobody Scores. Warcraft the Dark Spider Wrath Thing from Kuo. Beyond the Tree: It's all green. WoW eh: I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watching Me.

Last week's Funnies had quite the commenter turnout! To add my two cents (sorry, Canadian money), I would like to point out that despite the name of this column, web comics do not actually have to be funny to be included. Serious submissions, especially when coupled with stellar artwork, are always welcome. Incidentally, the name of this column was probably created just to confuse you.I'd also like to know when everybody allegedly started to prefer one-shot comics to those with a story arc? Personally, I love both types. I also enjoy recurring themes and "inside" jokes. I do try to feature comics that stand well on their own, but I'm not going to omit something good just because it doesn't appeal to everyone. Cru the Dwarf: Bedsheet Bump in the Night and the rather comical Brain Freeze that ensues. Experience Points: Vincent has his hands full with gear disputes, an overactive imagination, and the new iPhone Armory app that's acting a bit strangely. Flintlocke vs. the Horde: The Showdown, part 22. LFG: #270. Monkey Punchers: Turning Point. Kuo: Chapter 3, Kobold's Ambition 6. WoW eh: Milk: It'll Do Your Body Good. I love that last frame especially! Teh Gladiators: Fight it, Papa! NPC: Speciesists. The cats write a forum post in to Blizzard with some, er, suggestions, and Blizz Responds. I love these kitties! NoObz: NoobyNoob. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Hail the One True King. Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything when I read this! In fact, I think I've learned instinctively to put the cup down before I start reading this one. I recommend reading it over a few times, because the awesomeness doesn't fade. Side Note: Not WoW related, but totally kitty and MJ related, from The Adventures of Ebenezer and Snooch. Next, I will include a link to something that we've been tipped off to all week.

This week's list is short but sweet. Tried and true. We're still missing Disgraph (cries) but most others are present and accounted for. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: Who's Up For.... NPC: Outrage. (I miss my kitties). Teh Gladiators: Papa! WoW eh: The End of a Memory. Again, I love the artwork. It's always evolving. The armor looks fantastic. Check out the latest from Kuo, and be sure to read the description underneath the comic. Flintlocke vs. the Horde. Vincent checks out Twitter in WoW, and tests the Mountain Dew drinks. Well, at least one of them. Society for the Betterment of NPC Characters. Dark Legacy Comics. GU Comics: Wannabes.

It's Sunday, the 5th of July, and somehow I think that some of you guys are either traveling, sleeping in, or "mysteriously" a little ill. This one's dedicated to all of you. I hope you had a happy Fourth of July, and here's a quickie to enjoy before you realize that today is the last day of the Midsummer Fire Festival and you never did get around to finishing those achievements. Cru the Dwarf: A Pile of Dried Plums. Dark Legacy Comics: On the Run. GU Comics: If the Armor Fits. On Experience Points, Vincent finds a way to solve his problem. Flintlocke vs. the Horde. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: Crafting. NPC: Time Spent and 17 Pound Catfish. Teh Gladiators. World of Warcraft, eh?: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. I agree with the comments, there are some great facial expressions in this one! Plus, a pretty cool bikini.

It's officially summer, or Midsummer, if you like. This week's list is pretty hefty and even has a few seasonal entries. Enjoy! Cru the Dwarf: Sir Lothar has been given some cryptic orders. Dark Legacy Comics: Invention Time! I really liked this one. What could go wrong with Invention Time? GU Comics: Ingenious Plan. I have not yet done this, but I can't say I've been looking forward to it either. I did however spend some time screwing up my karma by the bonfire in Silvermoon City. GU Comics: More Fire Catching. I echo these sentiments. In the conclusion to Victor's plight from Experience Points, the punishment is laid out. I for one, agree RedWoodElf's comment. Then he ventures out onto a date "IRL" but doesn't get what he bargained for. Personally, I like comparing their head sizes. Oddly enough, he bravely pushes through. Check out the latest from Flintlocke vs. the Horde. I am totally jealous of that dude's button. In LFG's latest, the gnomes are getting restless, though they remain content to do nothing about it. NoObz: I'm Worth It. I never find any good options either. NPC: Kitty Names Revealed. It seems that cat identities are similar to those of females on the Internet. NPC: Perspective. Heck, people need guild bank alts these days! I have two. Teh Gladiators: The Beast Rares its Ugly Head(s). Kuo: When the Kobold disappears, the adventurers employ their own methods of finding him. World of Warcraft, eh?: The Battle is Lost. I love the detail of the creepy centaur's fingernails. I can't wait for the new features!

This week's comic list is a good one, so settle in and start clicking. To answer a comment on last week's post, comics can be submitted through the WoW.com tip form, or left as a comment on the most recent Sunday Morning Funnies post. Check out the latest from Cru the Dwarf. Dark Legacy Comics: Toe Stub. This comic from GU Comics is related more to Activision-Blizzard than to WoW specifically, although there is a WoW reference. Check out the latest from Experience Points. The latest Flintlocke vs. the Horde got me laughing, although you should check out the Taco Time comic first, if you haven't. This isn't the most recent comic from LFG, but I thought it might stand alone better. NoObz: To Pull Or Not To Pull. NPC: Just Like Me and Squirrel Flavor. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. Backward Compatible has a WoW-related comic out. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Druids with Candy. Check out the latest from Kuo.

Today's comic list is full of surprises, including great artwork, plot development, hilarity, and one or two that didn't really tickle my fancy this week. Perhaps if I were a bigger fan of tacos.... Cru's parents deduce that he's probably in trouble, and his father goes looking for his hammer. Dark Legacy Comics: Direction Dance. Experience Points: Too many addons leads to bad places. Check out the latest from Flintlocke vs. the Horde. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: Translatoxx is My Friend. I love that little robot. NPC: Check out Pandering part two and Pandering part three. Questionable Content made a WoW reference recently. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. Gotta Catch Them All Part 2 from The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf. I knew Mr. Pinchy would be a formidable enemy. The latest installment of how Kissless and Cadistra meet is live, and the artwork is awesome (as usual)! A Thousand Hurtful, Hurtful Words from Awkward Zombie.

Today, the rubber gloves come off. Or rather, they are not being put on again. The list is a good one, full of jokes you need to read because I say recommend so. Cru is getting some action! Though I do have to say, the latest update cracked me right up! Dark Legacy Comics: No More Puns. Experience Points: Vincent gets nerfed and then needs to make a decision. Not only did I "lol" I totally identify. I love the last frame of the latest from Flintlocke vs. the Horde. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: 64 I live in the Shadows. NPC: Confused Instincts. Thanks for the kind words at Mike's meet-up Mary! I, too, vote for Booth Studs. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Gotta Catch Them All. I can't wait to see what Disgraph unleashes. After all, pinching is mean. Check out the guest comic on World of Warcraft, eh? written by Dan Wood of Disgraph. I giggled pretty hard at the hockey sticks! In the category of new things, a recent Working Daze comic was WoW-related.

Another Sunday arrives, and now it is almost June! This means less than a month until servers flood with children, Barrens chat takes on new life, and we're all being asked for "golds" and dungeon runs. Savor the next couple of weeks. Check out the latest from Cru and the one before that! After all, I can't have you all missing the drunken bar scenes. The latest from Dark Legacy Comics, Whitecraft, touches on one of the limitations of WoW's character creation service. Experience Points features another Dear Diary, and discusses, in its own way, Ulduar trash mobs. Check out the latest from Flintlocke vs. the Horde. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: Serborusski. NPC: Critter Tease. Check out the latest Teh Gladiators. The latest from The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf, Form of... a Druid!, is all about the new Druid forms. It Slices, It Dices from World of Warcraft, eh? shows the kitteh unleashed!

For those of you who didn't get to go on vacation, or who snuck a laptop into your bags, here are the latest WoW-related comics. Check out the latest from Cru the Dwarf. Dark Legacy Comics: Evade. Experience Points: Perhaps you have recently considered spending some more time outdoors? If not, you can always fake a disconnect. Flintlocke vs the Horde: The guys are on a quest chain. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: My Big Brother. NPC: Warcrack Game Thingy? Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: The Monday Dregs. Another Sunday has rolled around, and as always, some of the comics are talking about what's in the news, including the sale of BlizzCon tickets, the latest word to be officially adopted into the English language, and the BlizzCon pet! Check out the latest from Cru the Dwarf. Dark Legacy Comics: Donald the Explorer. Experience Points is inquiring into BlizzCon ticket prices, and /rolling for loot. Check out the latest from Flintlocke vs. the Horde. GU Comics: The Shedding. GU Comics: They're Haunting Me. GU Comics: Wait. Ted Said What?. Where do you stand on this issue? Personally, I'm going to take the opportunity to use it in an essay. Check out the latest from LFG. Massive Pwnage: Could be Worse. NoObz: Everything in Moderation. NPC: Payback and The Deal. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. World of Warcraft, eh? KHAAAAAAN! (That is my shortened version of the title).

Happy Mother's Day to all you WoW Moms, and for all you kids who might have forgotten, you'd better go say it now while you've just been reminded. Come back though, because I have a nice list of comics waiting, as well as a (mostly) friendly gnome controversy. Awkward Zombie: Deadfall. I laughed out loud. Cru the Dwarf is being pursued, and an interrogation is underway. Dark Legacy Comics: Under the World. Experience Points: He's falling in love, and starting to enjoy the fishing dailies. Flintlocke vs the Horde: A Plan for Vengeance, part 2. GU Comics: It Still Figures. Fancy a little gnome controversy? If you're confused, click back a comic, or check out last week's Sunday Morning Funnies and read through some of the comments. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: Dayz of our Lives. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. Two Lumps: The Adventures of Ebenezer and Snooch. Snooch is playing WoW, in his own way. NPC: Puppyslayer. World of Warcraft, eh? is back, after a three-week hiatus!

This week's set of comics is actually quite topical, from a recent scandal, to world news to proper feline nutrition. There also aren't as many Noblegarden-themed comics as I expected. Cru the Dwarf is making fire. Nifty things are afoot! Experience Points examines the latest content patch. Flintlocke vs the Horde: War Party part 11. GU Comics: It Figures. This is related to a recent story that we covered involving hacked accounts, a GM item, and some very naughty players. Read all about the Martin Fury Scandal, and then tell us what you thought in our polls. GU Comics also hosted a guest strip by Stormhaven, called Inconsistent Know-How. Don't forget to read the explanation underneath! Before I did, I thought it was about the fact that Mustard Dogs seems to never come up. I have stacks and stacks of the Rhino Dogs, but no dice. GU Comics also posted a comic about last week's Noblegarden festivities, Rabbits Everywhere. This is the second-latest LFG comic, but I thought that it stood better on its own than #248. NoObz: Useless. NPC: For the Taurine! I love this one. If you don't know what Taurine is, you don't love your cats enough. Yep, I said it. Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf has updated, and I have to agree, I Love the Smell of Bacon in the Morning. Here is another from It's a 2v2 Life. Here's a newbie: KUO, with Eyebeam Irony. I couldn't decide which one to list, so check out a few of them, and I'll go with the latest next week.

Today is the official start of the week-long festival of Noblegarden, and is the last Sunday in April. I can't believe that it is almost May! We have some great comics this week, as always, along with one newbie. Check out a new comic, It's a 2v2 Life. Check out the latest from Cru the Dwarf. Dark Legacy Comics shows us how to Make your own DLC! Experience Points has something to say about the new Argent Tournament, and is offering up an advertisement. The latest from Flintlocke vs the Horde has set up next week's comic to be quite thing to see. Earlier this week, WoW Insider announced the new Peggle addon for WoW, and GU comics has done up a comic about it. Check out the latest from LFG. NoObz: Powerlevelage. NPC: Questionable Judgement. I love those little cats! Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators. From The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Frenching Kermit.

This week, we have a couple of comics that haven't updated because the authors are otherwise occupied. Namely, these are The Adventures of Disgraph T Dwarf and World of Warcraft, eh?. Enjoy your hiatus, Cadychan, and good luck with your story D (I can call you that, y'see, we're tight or something. Plus, you won't know if I'm really calling you Dan, Disgraph, or "Dwarf", which is slightly better than "You" but not quite as polite as "You there!", and I do like to antagonize Dwarves!). Awkward Zombie: Horse Remorse. I love the comment underneath! Cru the Dwarf is back up and running! Experience Points: Vincent gets a Mammoth, and reminisces about the old days. Check out the latest from Flintlocke vs. the Horde. GU Comics: A Touch Obvious. I highly recommend reading the story underneath it (as I always do, really). Check out the latest from LFG. My only complaint is the absence of the bunny. Usually he can be seen idling in the background, at least! Manic Graffiti: My Money's on an EU Guild. Massive Pwnage: Level Requirements. NoObz: Overcheatage. I think everyone knows how this feels. NPC: Diversion Tactics. My cats do something like this too, although I think they might just be gunning for my chair. Teh Gladiators: The Man's a Manimal.

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend! I have a nice list to help you kick-start your day. Unfortunately, it seems that Cru the Dwarf will not be updating this week, due to technical difficulties. The featured photo is not of his computer, but it seems he will need a new one before the comic can resume. In the meantime, you can donate, or express your overwhelming sorrow! Dark Legacy Comics: Common Descent. Experience Points: Murlocs vs. Fries. Extra Life: It's all made of ones and zeros. Flintlocke vs the Horde: War Party part 2. Shakes and Fidget: Practice Makes Perfect. Check out the latest from LFG. Wolfslatoxx from NoObz. I love that little robotic dude. NPC: Purple Death Puddles. Teh Gladiators: Double Trouble. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Standing Out. World of Warcraft, eh? It's like, totally In the Nick of Time.

NoObz is still on holiday, but Ding! has been updated. In other news, Disgraph has a new new site, because the new one liked to take a lot of naps. While everyone loves naps, they are not for websites. I have to say, I am loving the new design, although the text is a bit more difficult to read. Cru the Dwarf celebrates its first year! Dark Legacy Comics: Luck? Experience Points has two new WoW-related comics, and while one involves Twitter, the other is another Dear Diary. On Flintlocke vs the Horde, the battle over the owl and the bunny continues to rage. GU Comics: Burning a Hole and Sorn Motors. LFG: Richard has left for awhile, and his absence is being felt. Haxxed! Noobcow is a Stranger in a Strange Land. Kissybear is feeling a little out of his element too. Good thing he's starting the all new Panda Attack! Massive Pwnage: Achievement. NPC: Motivation. I completely agree with the sentiment expressed here. Alas. Teh Glads: They Are Finally United. The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Plots are Over Rated. As a bonus, mouseover the image and read the alternative text. World of Warcraft, eh? 'Bulls'-Eye.

Can you believe it's almost April? I'm afraid of the impending warm weather. This week, we have two absentee comic authors, not counting those that do not update regularly. Fortunately, both left us filler content, so it's almost as if we're not missing anything. We also have a new, one-time comic this week. Awkward Zombie: Bully Mammoth. Check out the latest from Cru the Dwarf. I like this one, or "heart" it as it were. Dark Legacy Comics points to Death Knights as our latest common enemy, but did anyone pause for the butterfly? Blizzard has a fifth game in development, you know. Experience Points. Flintlocke vs. the Horde shows that while Trolls might be questionably gruesome, they're also pretty forgiving. Giant Sewer Rat. GU Comics. Check out the latest from LFG. Man, I love that bunny. New Venture, from Monkey Punchers. NoObz filler. NPC: Toxic Guilt. Teh Gladiators: All he wanted was to play. More filler! Due to the flu, Disgraph is filler this week. I wouldn't recommend reading it though if you're eating or have sympathetic reflexes. World of Warcraft, eh?: The Horse Men Cometh. SMBC has posted a WoW-relevant comic. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
