Fight Night Round 4 debuts at 2008 VGAs
Hey you! Yes, you, the fashionable gamer over there. Would you like to learn about Fight Night Round 4 (which won't be made by the studio that made Round 3, incidentally)? Would you like to see the very first glimpse of the game (possibly including Mike Tyson)? Well, according to a new teaser trailer (embedded after the break), you can see exactly that during the Spike Video Game Awards on December 14 at 9:00pm Eastern. Looks like you'd better clear your calendar right now. Or, you know, you could just wait until the next day when the footage will be all over the internet. It's your call, really.

Go ahead, it's right after the jump. We can wait, we've got a few other things we needed to do anyway.... Finished? Honestly, after a string of disappointing boxing titles, we think that taking a more physics-based approach sounds pretty intriguing, but we're worried that the realism might start to bog down the fun. Fight Night Round 4 announced, Mike Tyson included!
Two years since the last title in the series, and the closing of the development office responsible for the franchise, EA has announced plans to release Fight Night Round 4 sometime next year for the Xbox 360 and PS3.Few details on the new release exist besides the mention of a new physics and gameplay engine (will it bare the Freestyle brand too?). The most interesting addition to the series is the inclusion of former World Champion Mike Tyson, his first videogame appearance in over nearly a decade. Insert ear-biting joke here.[via Joystiq]

But EA announced this afternoon that fans need wait no longer as Fight Night will return for "Round 4" at some point next year on Xbox 360 and PS3.There are few details at this point, other than what you'd expect (new gameplay engine, new physics, etc.). Perhaps most exciting is that Mike Tyson will appear in the game, more than a decade after both his last video game appearance and his last brush with relevance.
