To stem the tide of leaks it seems Sony Ericsson has decided to release some of these rumored sets in advance of Mobile World Congress next week. The Sony Ericsson C901 is apparently touted as an emerging markets phone, -- though it looks a bit high end for the inexpensive market -- and is essentially the same as the C903 sans TV-out and AGPS . Packing things like a quad-band GSM, dual-band HSPA, 5 megapixel camera, with auto focus, a xenon flash, 9.5 hours talk and 430 hours standby time, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth, would lead us to believe this should be sitting in the mid range feature phone market. We should see this shipping in Q2 this year in Noble Black, Sincere Silver -- no really, that's the truth -- and Precious Peach hues. No word on pricing yet, though we expect that'll all trickle out soon. [Via USEB]%Gallery-44296%

Take this with a healthy grain of salt for now, but Sony Ericsson's so-called Filippa -- which has been hiding under deep cover the past few months -- is about to get official as the C901. Not surprisingly, SEMCBlog has it that the next Cyber-shot will be officially unveiled next month at Mobile World Congress, and with it will come a 5 megapixel camera (with AutoFocus and Xenon flash) along with your choice of Noble Black, Sincere Silver and Precious Peach hues. It's expected that the handset will go on sale in at least some corners of the globe this April, though pricing remains a mystery. A shocker, we know.

Mankind has never known a greater mystery than that of the true identity of "Kate." We knew it was a camera phone, manufactured by Sony Ericsson, and that it was part of the Cyber-shot line -- but beyond that all we had was speculation and innuendo. And here's some more! According to SEMC Blog, Kate -- officially known as the C510 -- should be available in roughly "two months." The camera sports a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera and 120MB on board storage. Also detailed were Filippa, a new Cybershot candybar, and Frances, its slider counterpart. Both of these phones feature 5-megapixel cameras with autofocus. There's no word yet on a release date, but knowing SE the information will trickle out... eventually. In the meantime, you'll have to make due with the specs we've included for you after the break.

Kudos, SE -- you've had our minds fixed on this elusive Cyber-shot candybar of yours for a solid half-month. We've now learned that the handset formerly known as Kate may actually be revealed as the Filippa, but we wouldn't be shocked to hear it referred to as the Kyliowooka next week. According to new images over at SEMC Blog, this here handset will indeed boast a 5-megapixel AF camera, video out, a 2.2-inch QVGA display, M2 card slot, 140MB of built-in memory and the ability to capture QVGA video. You'll also find a Xenon flash, face detection / smile shutter, HSUPA, an active lens cover and YouTube support. Now, if only we knew how legitimate all of this was...
