I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? DIY rollable keyboard exudes simplicity
Make no mistake, there are plenty of outfits out there looking to snap up your loose change in exchange for a pre-built rollup keyboard, but if you just can't stand that 'board that came bundled in with your last pre-fab PC, we think there's a better alternative. Apparently, all you have to do is remove the inner membrane from an unwanted set of keys, make sure the control board is accurately reassembled onto said membrane and cut out letters in the font of your choosing to keep you on track when your touch typing skills begin to fade. Flexible keyboard meets Skype phone
We've seen our fair share of flexible keyboards, and yes, we've even seen hordes of Skype phones. Thankfully, this particular unit weds the two aforementioned devices into one, creating a single harmonious 'board that you can freely squeeze while your frustration level skyrockets from yet another troubleshooting call. Hailed as "virtually indestructible," this unit can even be washed, drenched in soda and curled up for easy transport when not being used to type up your thesis and / or tune in to those totally boring CIA conference calls. Sure, $59.99 may seem a tad steep for a no-name keyboard, but just remember, you're buying utility here.
Brando's illuminated, flexible keyboard ain't too pretty
We'll admit, we can't recall seeing a rollable silicon keyboard that deserved to be called gorgeous, but Brando's iteration isn't even close. 'Course, those enamored with glowing lights and plastic-y gizmos may not find much room to grumble, but all aesthetics aside, this thing is reportedly "strong, silent and indestructible." Moreover, the $27 device is said to be dustproof and water-resistant, can be connected via USB or PS/2 and comes in white, pink, blue and green.
