  • Wrathion as The Fresh Prince (don't pretend this isn't awesome)

Found on Reddit today was a tip off to The Black Prince faction page on Wowhead. It has this gem: Wrathion, the Black Prince - or as we call him in my guild... Fresh Prince of Veiled Stair! In West Azeroth born and raised... In Ravenholdt is where I spent most of my days... Turning in lockboxes for some rep... Shoulda' known Shen'Dralar wouldn't be kept... When a couple of drakes, they were up to no good... Started makin trouble in my own black brood... And after a coup d'etat Jorach got scared... He said "you're moving in with Anduin and Tong at Veiled Stair!" Now we know this is a World of Warcraft site, and the World of Warcraft is pretty serious business. Purple pixels and internet dragons and all that. But we hope that you're able to take a moment out of your day and enjoy the awesomeness that a group of commenters have been able to come up with.

  • Proof that GMs have a sense of humor discovered in WoW

We all know that in-game GMs work hard to process a heavy ticket load and often use standard scripts and cut-n-paste replies as a result. However, there are real people behind these names, and some of them even have a sense of humor. GameFront shared a story of a World of Warcraft player named Dougie who asked to be knighted with the "Fresh," title, a GM responded tongue-in-cheek by saying that another already held it: Sit well Dougie, and listen to this tale. This is a tale of events which hath inverted a young ones life, and led to his eventual appointment as heir to the throne of the Bel Air Township. Begat and reared in western Philadelphia spending many a day becoming frigid whilst filling baskets adjacent to the academy. Ruffians ran rampant through the village; a scuffle ensued prompting his fearful mother to change his domicile to that with over kin, in Bel Air. He summoned a cart, which appeared most gaudy, nonetheless he beseeched the driver to take him to Bel Air. Arriving barely after nightfall, he bid the knave goodbye, as he relished his arrival at his new place of residence, where he was awarded the title of 'The Fresh Prince.' So there you have it: Proof that GMs can and do have a sense of humor -- and also a comprehensive knowledge of 90s sitcoms.

  • The Perfect Ten: The evolution of /dance

I recall when I was a wee... teenager and C+C Music Factory would blast through our Walkmans to demand that everybody (1) dance and (2) dance now. It was commanding, enthralling and extremely dorky, but the dance could not be denied. Dancing is in the soles of our souls as humans; we simply must boogie to a good beat. I'm not quite sure when or where dancing in MMOs became all the craze, but these days it seems as though every game (except the dour ones with bears, bears, bears) prides itself on a good set of /dance emotes. For some players, it's the perfect way to unwind after a long raid or chew up a bit of time while one waits for SgtCuddlyMonkey to return from his refreshing bio break. For others, it's a legitimate career path with a long and distinguished history of gyrating on top of mailboxes while annoyed postal recipients long for a day when a pelvis will not be gesturing at eye level. So this week, let's loosen up, let our hair down, and samba across the ballroom floor as we count down (up?) 10 incredible MMO dances.
