WoW Insider readers who have been around for a few months may remember the strange story of a druid. On the same day as the expasion released, a druid by the name of Fs hit level 90. He was subsequently rolled back to level 87, as the linked article was updated to reflect, and many cried foul, asserting that he had cheated, that he had somehow made use of an exploit to get through the levels at such speed. Athene sat down with some of the guys who had helped Fs to 90, and chatted with them about how they'd done it. They asserted that it was simply related to a buff that was put onto them by some mobs in Townlong Steppes, shamans to be specific, which they'd used to farm mobs for XP. They said they'd done nothing else, but the fact that Blizzard rolled Fs back didn't really support them. The latest development in the story happened late last night, when Blizzard Community Vaneras posted the following: Vaneras After some lengthy deliberation on this topic and evaluation of all facts, we've decided to overturn our decision on this matter. We will be re-instating Fs's achievements. Our apologies to Fs for any frustration this has caused. source So it seems from this that, actually, the claims were true, there was no exploit, no cheating, and the achievement was legitimate. Fs's achievements have also been reinstated on the armory. Almost 7 months down the line, congratulations!

While we're not ready to declare it official, it appears the world's first level 90 has been achieved. FS of the Ravencrest-EU realm dinged just a short time ago, according to GuildOx. It's important to take these early dings with a healthy dose of skepticism, as in the past they've been accompanied by swift action on Blizzard's part when the leveling method has been discovered to be exploitative. Some high-profile people in Cataclysm took park in an exploit, only to find themselves slapped with a level decrease back to 80. We'll keep you updated as we learn more about this developing story, but if this is a legit power leveling, then it's been done extremely fast. Mists only released in the EU a little over four hours ago. Updated 1:30 a.m. EDT 9/25/12: Apparently he's been rolled back to 87, which follows what many in the forums are claiming (although there hasn't been any evidence until now).

We tell ya, that Panasonic FS line sure knows how to expand. Just months after we saw a few more added to the mix, the point-and-shoot Lumix family is growing yet again with three new members. Kicking things off is the 12.1 megapixel DMC-FS12, which boasts a 4x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, 2.7-inch LCD, a WVGA (848 x 480) movie mode and digital red-eye correction. The 10.1 megapixel DMC-FS62 packs most of the same features, though it does step down to a 2.5-inch LCD. Finishing up the trio is the DMC-FS42, a 10.1 megapixel shooter that does most everything the FS62 does save for the omission of optical image stabilization and a few other minor exclusions. The whole lot is expected to arrive soon in a variety of hues, though precise pricing and availability details are still missing.

What's better than one update preview? Why, two update previews of course. But what could possibly be better than that? Hellgate: London's official website has a new article which aims to help players see where the game is heading, by plotting out the details of the next three major patches. The first update to be examined is Patch 1.2, with the highlight being the addition of an in-game mail system that allows items to be attached. Patch 1.3 is next, and the biggest features of this update are some new functional pets, and the ability to warp to a player on your buddy list. The biggest changes will come with the third update however, Patch 2. It will be the largest content update to the game since release, and includes major additions to PvP, class skills, armor and weapons, bosses and monster types. The alternate name for Patch 2 is "The Abyss Chronicles", and this is because of a new dungeon to be included in the build, fittingly named The Abyss. Click on through to see all the features of Patches 1.2, 1.3 and 2 that are listed in the preview.
