Arcimoto is finally shipping its three-wheeled EV to customers
After more than a decade of working on its "Fun Utility Vehicle," or FUV, Arcimoto is finally shipping the three-wheeled EVs to customers. The company announced today that it's entered production mode, which means you could see the FUV cruising around California, Oregon and Washington in the near future.
Arcimoto's latest three-wheeled EV is designed for deliveries
You might remember Arcimoto as the company behind the "Fun Utility Vehicle" (FUV) -- a three-wheeled, electric vehicle that's scheduled to hit the streets in Oregon, California and Washington this summer. With the FUV underway, Arcimoto has opened presales for a similar vehicle with a new concept. Called the "Deliverator," it's a three-wheel, pure electric vehicle meant for local deliveries.
Arcimoto is opening its first rental center for its three-wheeled EV
Arcimoto's three-wheeled Fun Utility Vehicle is a blast to drive, but there's a catch: given that the first orders haven't arrived, there hasn't been an easily accessible way to take one for a spin. You'll have an option in a few days, though. The company is opening its first rental location (plus customer experience center) at 543 Blair Boulevard in its hometown of Eugene, Oregon on October 27th. Pricing hasn't been set yet and will vary by location, but it's safe to say this will be considerably more affordable than committing $11,900 to buy the FUV outright.
