Don't get your hopes up for a Galaxy S-style blockbuster, but Telus is looking to add one of Sammy's lower-end Android sets from recent memory -- and as long as the price is right, we're sure they'll manage to sell a couple. The Galaxy Apollo features a 3.2-inch HVGA display -- TFT LCD, not Super AMOLED -- paired up with a 3 megapixel cam, HSPA, and 150MB of onboard storage bundled with a 2GB microSD card. So yeah, like we said, not exactly a Desire HD killer... but who knows, maybe they'll give 'em away along with a hug and a smile on a three-year contract. We don't have a date yet, but Telus says it's "coming soon." [Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

  • Samsung Galaxy Teos and Naos rush in to relieve aging Spica

Actually, calling the i5700 Galaxy Spica from Samsung "aging" isn't entirely fair -- the Android-powered handset was only introduced in November of last year. Thing is, Android moves at the pace of a speeding green robot -- and considering Sammy's reputation for flooding the market with hardware, we're not surprised to see a couple replacements leak out already. The so-called Galaxy Teos and Naos (pictured left and right, respectively) both feature WQVGA displays and 3 megapixel cameras paired with Android 2.1 and TouchWiz; the latter is apparently an affordable Orange exclusive in your choice of black or white. Samsung certainly has the high end covered right now with the Galaxy S series, so if we had to guess, these little guys (and their various siblings around the world) will help fill in the midrange. Update: Samsung Hub points out that these are the same as the Galaxy 3 and Galaxy Apollo sold in other markets. The company's certainly no stranger to changing phone names in different countries, so it's not much of a surprise to see 'em do it here.

  • Orange slips out a few Samsung Galaxy Apollo details

Orange's UK outpost has fessed up to the Galaxy Apollo's existence just as it started showing up on an official Samsung site, saying that the Android-powered phone -- a handset that looks a bit like the South Korean market M120S -- is "coming soon." Beyond that, we don't have much to go on, but we now know that it'll have a 3 megapixel cam with autofocus, FM radio, 3.2-inch display, and "up to 1GB external memory," which we're pretty sure is a typo or misunderstanding of some sort; in all likelihood, they mean it's got 1GB internal and it can support up to 32GB external. Or so we hope, anyhow. No word on price or a release date just yet.

  • Samsung's Galaxy Apollo smartphone is coming soon, looks like an M100S to us

In the off chance that the Galaxy S isn't your cup of tea, the second-hottest Android device Samsung has released so far is undoubtedly the M100S over in its domestic Korean market, a 3.7-inch hottie with a 5 megapixel cam, 802.11n WiFi, and Android 2.1. It's not just for South Korea, though, as evidenced by this shot that's popped up over on Samsung's British site showing a device known as the "Galaxy Apollo" that looks suspiciously identical to the M100S. Frankly, we're still dying to get a glimpse of this Bluetooth 3.0-equipped M120S at some point -- but in the meantime, we suppose this puppy will have to do. No word on a release date, but Sammy's site claims that it's "coming soon." [Thanks, James]
