We've got no in-game holidays this month, and we haven't beat each other up for a while. So it's time for It came from the Blog's Gurubashi Beatdown. This event is where we gather together for a nice run through the jungle and then play games and kill each other in Gurubashi Arena. When: Friday, August 30 at 10:30 p.m. EDT (7:30 p.m. PDT, 8:30 p.m. server time) Where: Meet at the flightpath in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: Any level Horde player How: Ask Tizzi or any member of It came from the Blog for an invite, if you're not already in our family of guilds You'll probably be happiest bringing the highest level character you can, but any level is welcome. There will be much death. You have been warned. Hope to see you there! Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) in It came from the Blog. All guild ranks can invite, so /whisper Tizzi or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Last Sunday, <It came from the Blog> had its second Gurubashi Beatdown. First we had a fishing party in Orgrimmar, attended by Anne Stickney and Matthew Rossi. Then we galloped off to Gurubashi Arena with the intention of playing games in which we kill each other. There was good and there was bad. The bad We only got a couple of games played because we had to spend most of our time (successfully) fending off griefers. One was even in a guild that had its intentions in its name. The good We had fun beating up the "bad" guys, but most of all, we got to know Thrahk. If we in the guild have our way, Thrahk will be warchief some day. For those of you unfortunate enough not to have met him yet: Thrahk is a level 1 orc, and he is brave and strong. We will have a Gurubashi Beatdown again -- and don't worry, I have a plan to avoid future issues. Our event next month, however, will be Children's Week-related. And, of course, Choose My Adventure continues. Here are the snapshots, which include some submissions from Butcheredcow, Orlak and (cutaia): %Gallery-91275% Please join us on US Zangarmarsh-H in <It came from the Blog>. Ask Robiness, Robinemia or any member online for an invite. Guild ranks of Lurker or above have the ability to invite. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules, that can be summed up with "Don't be a Funsucker!" Also, please see the guild FAQ for the most common questions.

<It came from the Blog> is having its second Gurubashi Beatdown today. If you have a Horde character on US Zangarmarsh that is at least level 55 and has an epic mount (with stars or otherwise), you are welcome to join us for some games in the Gurubashi Arena. We are also having another pre-event mixer today. This will take place near the fishing trainer in Orgrimmar and I hear that a few of my fellow WoW.com staffers will be showing up to chat with us. Here are the event stats: When The mixer will begin today, Apr. 18, 5:00 p.m. EDT (2:00 p.m. PDT, 3:00 p.m. server time). We will head to Gurubashi Arena at 5:30 p.m. Where Meet at the waterfall in the Valley of Honor, Orgrimmar on US Zangarmarsh-H. Who Any character level 55 and up that is in good standing with the Horde. (If you are a DK, you need to have Thrall's blessing to join us.) Any level is invited to the mixer. What First we will hang out, fish and chat at the mixer. Then we will ride to Gurubashi Arena together to play some games in which we kill each other. How Send a tell to Robinella or any <It came from the Blog> member for an invite to the guild. Just like last time, our first game will be to see how quickly you can punch Robinella, my death knight, to death. I'll reveal the remaining games as we play. Here are some snapshots of the last Gurubashi Beatdown: %Gallery-88810% Please join us on US Zangarmarsh-H in <It came from the Blog>. Ask Robiness, Robinemia or any member online for an invite. <It came from the Blog> didn't do a Noblegarden event this year because, well, a bunch of people fighting over egg spawns didn't sound like a whole lot of fun. But we are still having an event this month: our second Gurubashi Beatdown. After some peaceful fishing at the pre-event mixer, we will be traveling to Stranglethorn Vale to kill each other over and over and over and over. Here are the particulars: When The mixer will begin on Sunday, April 18, 5:00 p.m. I will be attending on Robinella, my DK. If you do not have a high enough character right now to join us, you have plenty of time to level a death knight before the event. Please see below for instructions as to how to get an invite to the guild to participate in these events and also to join in on the Choose My Adventure fun. See you in Azeroth! To join us on US Zangarmarsh-H in <It came from the Blog>, ask Robiness, Robinemia or any member online for an invite. Guild ranks of Lurker or above have the ability to invite. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules, which can be summed up with "Don't be a funsucker!" Also, please see the guild FAQ for the most common questions.

Before last Saturday, my favorite It came from the Blog event had been the Love is in the Air event. But now I think the Gurubashi Beatdown may have become my new fave. We had a great time playing games in the Gurubashi Arena. But first we met in Orgrimmar and had another mixer with some of the WoW.com staff. Matthew Rossi, Chase Christian, Amy Schley, Anne Stickney and I hung out at the entrance, chatting it up. A lore discussion broke out... and there was much rejoicing. Then those of us participating in the main event made the trip to Gurubashi Arena. There, we played the following games: Get nekkid and punch Robinella to death. Nekkid fistfighting last man standing. Fully clothed last man standing. Run the gauntlet. Kill the Alliance... whenever appropriate. It was so much fun that if you like PvP at all, you should really join us at the next Gurubashi Beatdown. And believe me, there will be one. There are more details about the games in the gallery below. And stay tuned for details on some upcoming fun we'll be having in between events in It came from the Blog. %Gallery-88810%

First an apology: I'm really sorry we didn't have an It came from the Blog Lunar Festival event. I and my family came down with a series of non-serious, but very symptom-heavy plagues that knocked me out of WoW for a few weeks. I didn't even get the event done on my main. /sadface But I'm back and ready to get beat up in retaliation... because it's time for a Gurubashi Beatdown. This Saturday, bring your Death Knight, any level as long as Thrall has welcomed you to the Horde, and let's beat each other up in the Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethorn Valley. We'll also have another Mixer beforehand where you can rub elbows with some of the other WoW.com writers. When: Saturday, March 20th at 5:30pm EDT (2:30pm PDT, 3:30pm realm time) and the mixer will be at 5pm EDT. Where: Meet in front of Orgrimmar, Zangarmarsh U.S. Who: Any Horde DK that is free from Arthas or any other level 55 and above Horde character. What: After chatting it up with the WoW.com staffers, we will travel to the Gurubashi Arena and participate in some PvP games of my own devising. More details are after the break.
