While we take a week off from football ahead of the Super Bowl (unless you count the Pro Bowl), there are plenty of ways to fill the time. Netflix is dropping in its odd cellphone-superpower iBoy flick, while HBO airs a Slenderman documentary. The Path is back for season two on Hulu, Incorporated is wrapping up its run on USA at the same time Suits comes back and comedian Gad Elmaleh has a new special on Netflix. For gamers, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is rolling out on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

Netflix has unveiled a new original film with a pretty ludicrous tech angle. iBoy (yep) stars Maisie Williams and is set to arrive on the streaming service January 27th. The plot, unfortunately, reads like a "Toast parody of a Black Mirror episode," as my colleague Aaron put it: normal teenager Tom is beaten by thugs, leaving parts of a smartphone embedded in his brain. That somehow gives him "strange" superpowers, which he uses to save his best friend Lucy (Williams) and take revenge on the gang.

For those unaware, Eretz Nehederet is effectively the Israeli equivalent to The Onion, and on the 1st of April, they covered the hardest-hitting piece of Apple news to cross their news desk in quite some time. That news, friends, is the iBoy. Available in a variety of skin tones, religious beliefs and languages, this iPad-adorned human is both the best and worst thing to happen to mankind... well, ever. There's no word on when it'll be on sale, but it's fairly clear that "divorce" and "alcohol" are about to take a backseat to this guy when studying factors that rip families to shreds. Click and weep as you see fit. [Thanks, Lior G.]

Sadly, there's a good chance you already own an iPhone 3G case if you're the proud owner of an iPhone 3G. That said, there's still nothing stopping you from hopping a flight to Tokyo and replacing your current one with the best case in the history of cases. Sadly, the lad that snapped this shot isn't sure where exactly this thing is sold, but if you're savvy on the details, be sure to holler in comments below.[Via PMPToday]

  • iPod + Game Boy = iBoy

Sure, you love your iPod, but we'll bet you wish there was a way you could replace that sleek, white case with a big, clunky grayish-white blob straight out of 1989. We hear ya. That's why we're happy to point you to this Flickr set that has detailed instructions for turning that beautiful iPod into a late-'80s eyesore. Apparently, the process isn't as simple as you might think. A 60GB iPod barely fits into the classic Game Boy's case, and there's a lots of cutting and soldering required to get everything working with the original portable's controls. It's all worth it, though, to be able to pretend you're playing some decades-old portable game when you're actually rocking out to the latest tunes. Yeah! [Via GameDrop]

  • Game Boy modded for less Tetris, more iPod

An NES controller-enhanced iPod is one thing, but to really put that tried-and-true old school Nintendo industrial design to some blasphemous new uses you'll have to do what Flickr user "sirljohns" did, gutting an original Game Boy to make quite possibly the most badass iPod case ever. Sadly, the only Tetris you'll be playing on the Game Boy once you're done with it is the iPod's own pale imitation, but at least you'll still be able to make use of the Game Boy's well-worn buttons, as they're wired up to an internal dock connector to allow for full control without requiring you to slice open the iPod itself. The less technically proficient among us may want to click down a bit further in sirljohns Flickr photostream, where you'll find details on modifying a vintage Sony WM-F10 Walkman for a less functional but only slightly less stylin' iPod case.[Via MAKE:Blog]
