Love is in the air, but I've got good news and bad news. The bad news is that this holiday does not lend itself to group activities where the group is multiple levels. The good news is that It came from the Blog is going to be having a party anyway: our second annual party on the Love Zeppelin. When: Saturday, Feb. 22 at noon EST (9 a.m. PST, 11 a.m. server time) Where: Meet near the flightpath in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh/Hellscream (US-PvE-H) Who: Any level Horde player, clothing optional How: Ask any member of It came from the Blog for an invite What: Fun, dancing, party games, love We won't be having a raid for this event, so any level character can join us. We hope to see you there! Updated: Some of the WoW Insider writers will be joining us, so you can ask them questions and otherwise rub virtual elbows with them. Please join us on Zangarmarsh/Hellscream (US-PvE-H) in It came from the Blog. All guild ranks can invite, so /whisper Tizzi or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Visit the guild FAQ for more details.

Last month It came from the Blog celebrated Brewfest like we do every year: with lots of virtual beer and real fun. We began by meeting in Orgrimmar and then made our way over to the Brewfest grounds. We picked up quests and proceeded to Chug and Chuck. We then learned how to ride rams, which we were assured were not at all stolen, and proceeded to do some beer running. We then sold some brew by advertising it throughout Orgrimmar. Then the Dark Iron dwarves attacked. We fought them back by using our new found skills of chugging and chucking -- this year with non-alcoholic brew. So this was the first year we chucked without upchucking. I guess this was a good thing, though part of the fun was always having the screen get too blurry to see.

Last month, It came from the Blog held its annual Flamefest, celebrating the Midsummer Fire Festival. Each year, we pick a continent and flame it. This year, we set the Eastern Kingdoms on fire. First, we met in Brill, where the statue of the Dark Lady presides over all doings there. Then we went to the ruins of Lordaeron and took the portal to Silvermoon City. We rode through town, out the front gate and over to the fire outside Falconwing Square. After that, we headed to Tranquillien in the Ghostlands to honor the flame there. We took the flightpath back to the city, ran to the portal, returned to the ruins and then headed to Silverpine Forest. Once there, we traveled to the Sepulcher where we again honored the flame and spun around in circles. Then off to Tarren Mill we went, passing inconspicuous bears as we went.

This Saturday, join It came from the Blog for some Winter Veil fun. Every month, It came from the Blog hosts an event for fun and sometimes profit, so we'll definitely be having a Feast of Winter Veil romp after the holiday begins. In the meantime, and until further notice, Crikkit the pandaren mistweaver monk is going to be dungeoning up to at least 85 and she wants to do so with friends. Starting tomorrow and every Thursday hereafter, level 15 Crikkit will be randoming dungeons with whomever shows up to join her. When: Thursdays starting Thursday, Dec. 13 (tomorrow) at Noon EST (9 a.m. PST, 10 a.m. server time) Where: Meet at the fishing hole in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: Any Horde character within one or two levels of Crikkit at the time -- this week, levels 15 and 16 How: Ask Crikkit or any It came from the Blog member for an invite to the guild I'll PUG if I have to, but there are already a couple of guildies signed up to attend and I'm hoping we'll have more -- particularly as the weeks go by. If we get too many, I'll choose from those whom I'm comfortable with and where our needs lie. If we have leftovers, we will do what we always do and form more than one group with a common chat channel.

Once upon a time, there were many, many pandaren. They loved to play and kill and put wild creatures in cages. Then one night, they had an idea. It wasn't an original idea. Everyone has it at one point or another. But it was an important idea that was to shape their destiny forever. And that idea was "Party!" Now, you know what happens when you get a bunch of pandas together to party: you get Pandamonium! First thing they did was get nekkid. Oh did I mention these pandaren were from the It came from the Blog family of guilds? That's an important detail, as those are a rowdy, drunken bunch who like to take their clothes off and/or run into dangerous territory and/or jump off of things. Spoilers. The story continues ...

Last month's It came from the Blog event was our second scavenger hunt, with a meet and greet right before. We met in the Court of the Sun in Silvermoon City, enjoying the peace and quiet of an empty city. (A round of less lag for everyone!) Several WoW Insider writers showed up for the meet and greet: Megan O'Neill as Poneria Dawn Moore as Aurorarun Matt Low as Matticus Anne Stickney as Annephora Elizabeth Wachowski as Moocowski Robin Torres as Roblinator (Yes, I'm always there, but I answered a couple of questions too.) Our new and veteran guildies put the WI crew through their paces. Matt answered healing questions. Anne tackled lore and roleplay questions. Elizabeth made it clear that Around Azeroth needs more screenshot submissions. And there was much rejoicing.

It came from the Blog events are fun. Scavenger Hunts are fun. Meeting WoW Insider writers is fun (even virtually). Mathematically speaking -- since fun is multiplicative -- we'll be having FUNx3 tonight. When: 10:30 p.m. EDT tonight (7:30 p.m. PDT, 8:30 p.m. server time) for the meet and greet and 11 p.m. EDT (8 p.m. PDT, 9 p.m. server) for the scavenger hunt Where: Meet near the fountain in the Court of the Sun, Silvermoon City on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) Who: Any level Horde character. Gold will be provided to those who do not have enough. Tip: Mounted characters have an advantage, so making a death knight is a good idea if you are new to the server. What: Meet and greet with several of the WoW Insider staff, then a scavenger hunt through Eversong Woods for fun and prizes How: Ask any member of It came from the Blog for an invite, if you are not already in one of our family of guilds. The list of items will not be provided until just after the event starts. I will list them in /say and not repeat them for 10 minutes so that punctual participants will have an advantage. Your joining us is fun, by the way -- yes, I mean you particularly. So if you chat and hunt with us tonight, we'll have FUNx4. Obviously, you should join us. Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) in It came from the Blog. All guild ranks can invite, so /whisper Roblinator or any online member. 04.25.2012

Children's Week starts this Sunday, so that must mean that it's time for It came from the Blog's annual Running of the Orphans. As the event name says, we get orphans and we run around with them while completing our orphan quests. When: Sunday, April 29 at 12:30 p.m. EDT (9:30 a.m. PDT, 10:30 a.m. server time) Where: Meet at the pond near the engineering trainer that's next to the orphanage in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: Any Horde character level 10 or over How: Ask any member of It came from the Blog for an invite to the guild if you are not already a member of our family of guilds already. We will have a fishing party while we wait for everyone to arrive and get their orphans. Then we will be orphan minions, taking them wherever they want to go -- the Running of the Orphan Caregivers may be a more accurate title, but it doesn't have the same ring to it. Time permitting, we may even try for some achievements. You have to be at least level 10, because you can't get an orphan otherwise. We also will not be forming a raid since we need to complete quests. We will have an event chat set up as usual, however. Hope to see you there! Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) in It came from the Blog. All guild ranks can invite, so /whisper Roblinator or any online member. 02.23.2012

We hold events monthly in the It came from the Blog family of guilds. We usually hold them during in-game holidays, but when there aren't any, I make up something else to do. We've been doing this for a few years now and have had a wide variety, from achievement spam activities to free-for-all PvP beatdowns. It came from the Blog isn't the only game in town, of course. The Defias Brotherhood hosts a few RP-PvP events, as this video shows. The Spreading Taint and The Stonewall Family guilds march in a pride parade every year. Big Red Kitty's charity run for Ezra was so much of a success that they crashed the server and were asked to end the event early. Many more events are held in WoW each month, and some realms are more active than others. You can check the Community Events and Creations Forums for events you may be interested in.

    01.31.2012

Last week, the It came from the Blog family of guilds celebrated our second annual Lunar Lunacy. We gathered in Orgrimmar at the Lunar Festival area near the flight path. The minimum level to participate was 10, so that we could organize a raid in order to make good use of guild perks. With participants from level 12 to 85, we got the following achievements: Elders of the Alliance Members of The Insiders (our sister max-level guild) summoned us with Have Group, Will Travel to the enemy cities and used Mass Resurrection as needed. Elders of the Horde Mage ports took us where we needed to go for this achievement. Elune's Blessing We defeated Omen and basked in the afterglow. Some players also got the Frenzied Firecracker and Rocket's Red Glare achievements while we were organizing the raid. Then those of us with all of the sub-Cataclysm Azerothian flight paths completed the Elders of Eastern Kingdoms achievement by following the Overachiever's Guide to the Lunar Festival, only abandoning one non-flying person along the way. (Sorry, Pricecut!)

    12.27.2011

This year's unique Winter Veil gift is the Gaudy Winter Veil Sweater. You can wear this lovely sweater while caroling in enemy cities in order to earn this year's unique achievement: A-Caroling We Will Go. If you don't get this Feat of Strength by the second of January, then you will have received an ugly holiday sweater for nothing. (Well, almost nothing. You still get the Gaudy Winter Veil Sweater achievement, but that's not as exciting.) So the It came from the Blog family of guilds will be singing our hearts out (probably literally) in enemy cities this Friday night for our Caroling Carnage event. When: Friday, Dec. 30 at 11 p.m. EST (8 p.m. PST, 9 p.m. server) Where: Meet under the tree in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: Any level Horde character, the higher the better. How: Ask anyone in It came from the Blog for an invite to the guild, if you are not in our family of guilds already. Warning: As our delightful singing will take place in enemy cities, we will not be welcomed as cheerfully as carolers are in shelters and assisted living facilities. There will be death -- our death -- and lots of it ... hence, Caroling Carnage. If you decide to make a death knight in order to join us, please make sure you are welcomed into the Horde before the beginning of the event. For one night, don't wait in those long Raid Finder or space opera queues. Instead, join us for some dangerous singing while wearing fashionably questionable clothing. Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) in It came from the Blog. All members can invite, so /whisper Roblinator or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Visit the guild FAQ for more details.

Lady Sylvanas's feet are on fire! There's only one thing to do: Run around and collect candy. Well, Murkablo's idea is to try to set my feet on fire, but that's his solution to everything. Anyway, here's what you need to know about the Candy Run: When: Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. EDT (10 a.m. PDT, 11 a.m. server time) Where: Meet at Brill on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) Who: Any level Horde character. If you're bringing a death knight, make sure you are approved by the Warchief before the event starts. How: Just ask any It came from the Blog member for an invite to the guild. What: We'll put out the Brill fires, then traverse the land on foot to collect candy. Protect the lowbies! When we get to high-level territory, we will probably continue via flight paths or mounts -- abandoning the lowbies -- time permitting. We won't have a raid group, but we will have a chat channel specifically for the event. If you are on a trial account, you are free to tag along -- but unfortunately, your trial status won't allow you to join the chat channel. You're all invited, as long as you aren't a funsucker. Please join us! Here are some pictures from the previous two events: %Gallery-106769% %Gallery-76909% Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) in It came from the Blog.
