You may now be able to choose from a wide assortment of protective screen films at Apple's online or retail stores, but it looks like that won't be the case for much longer. As iLounge is reporting from multiple sources (and we have also heard), Apple will apparently stop selling all protective screen film products starting in May. That includes both film-only products (whether they are used for protective or anti-glare purposes), as well as cases that have a protective film built into them. For its part, Apple isn't giving any reason for the move, or confirming it itself just yet, but it seems like it might not be the most popular decision if it is the case. As iLounge points out, the single most popular iPod "case" in the Apple Store right now is, in fact, a protective film for the iPod touch.

Michael sent us news of yet another iPhone case, this one made by Noreve. It looks pretty nice, and it's interesting that they created a flip that goes down instead of up-- they say that the camera is still usable with the case on, which is super nice. The colored cases aren't selling yet, apparently, but the black cases are in stock at €42.99.And while my personal choice is probably to go with one of those cool wooden cases, if you really want leather, you'd be crazy not to take a look at the Vaja cases. Like TUAW's Dave Caolo, I've got a nice one on my iPod, and it is excellent. Like the Noreve cases, they're a little pricey but if you're going go all out and buy an Apple cell phone, you might as well go all out on the case, too.

Do you live in constant fear that your iPod nano will be stolen? Sure, we all do, and that's where iDisguise comes in. These nano/shuffle cases are designed to look like make-believe candy brands and as such will confused would be iPod thieves. There are currently two cases in their lineup, Wintergreen and Peppermint. Each sells for $10.95.I won't point out that you can make your own case out of an old Altoid tin.

The good folks at Griffin Technology are all about iPod accessories, and they are ramping up their product line for the holiday season. The Disko (pictured) and the centerstage are the two newest cases for your iPod.The Disko answers the question, 'Is there a way to make this elegant iPod look gaudy?' A polycarbonate case with 3 different colored lights and 5 different light sequences. The nicest touch? It has a motion sensor with turns it on automatically. The Centerstage is a little more practical. It is a stand that allows your iPod to stand up, making viewing videos easier and less stressful on your dainty hands. The Disko costs $29.99 while the centerstage will set you back $24.99.

Griffin Technology, the company that just can't stop making iPod products, announced 3 new iPod case lines (and 1 that's been around for a bit). Pictured above is the Trio for the iPod nano. $24.99 gets you a nano case with two interchangeable covers (hence the name). Griffin is also offering the Tempo which is an armband that can hold either a full sized iPod or a nano for $24.99. The Vizor is a leather case designed for a full sized iPod that has a flip cover and a clip for $24.99 (I'm noticing a trend). Finally, the iClear, which Griffin has been offering for awhile, is a transparent polycarbonate case for the shuffle, nano, or full sized iPod that protects the iPod but still allows you to see it and access all of its controls for $19.99.
