It's Wednesday again already! That means it's time for another episode of TUAW TV Live. I don't really have a topic today, so I invite all of our regular and new viewers to join in on the chat and ask questions or bring up things they'd like to talk about. Some of our most memorable moments of TUAW TV have come about as a result of chatroom banter, so this should be fun. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT / 10 PM BST) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. If you're unable to join us for the show, remember that you can always subscribe to the video podcast and watch the show at your leisure in iTunes or any other favorite podcatching app. The past shows are also available on the TUAW YouTube channel. The chat is on IRC: join us on server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv.

  • Guild Wars 2 devs fielding your questions this Wednesday

How is ArenaNet countering the massive Star Wars-related hype bomb that's detonating across the MMO industry this week? Hopefully by ignoring it and continuing to work on Guild Wars 2. That said, the company is trotting out Jon Peters and Johnathan Sharp to field fan questions during a live IRC chat later in the week. The shindig goes down on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. EST, and if you're not familiar with the IRC platform, Guild Wars 2 Guru has a helpful web client that will speed you on your way. You'll need to submit your questions for moderator approval (translation: don't expect an answer to beta or release date queries), so head to GW2 Guru to read all the rules.

Interested in asking gPotato some questions on Allods Online? Want to ask the team questions on the latest patch, the Revelations of Gipat? Want to chat with your fellow Allods players? Well then, look no further than the Massively.com chat tonight! Join us by pointing your chat client to irc.quakenet.org, #massively, or use the web client located at http://webchat.quakenet.org, and put in #massively as your chat room. The Q&A session will start sharply at 7 PM ET (4 PM PT) and will last for approximately an hour and 30 minutes. The chat room will be moderated for the duration of the chat, so you won't be able to talk, but you will be able to send the questions you want to ask the dev team to the chat room moderator, Sephare. Just type /msg Sephare once you're in the chat room, and follow up the command with your question. If your question is chosen, it will be sent to the gPotato team to answer live! Can't make the event? No worries, as we'll have a transcript available on Monday! If you wish to ask the team a question, leave it here in the comments, and our moderators will choose the best ones to send to the team!

  • Warcry's Vanguard developer interview chat-log available for perusing

A few days ago, the Warcry Network hosted an IRC chat with some of the developers and the team involved with Vanguard to hit them with some of the community's questions, and find out about the state of the game in general. There is now a chat log of this discussion available for you to find out exactly how the interview went. The log is 5 pages long, showing the extent to which the Vanguard team made themselves available, and the wealth of questions that Warcry had to ask. Some of the issues raised were PvP imbalances, leveling rates and the experience curve, notification of server downtimes and downtime length, and expansion questions, to some lighter stuff like what kind of scripted events the players can expect, and what "About Vanguard" comic the developers like best. It's a worthwhile read for any Vanguard fan, or anyone that has been away from the game and wants to see how it has changed, and will change in the future. Also, don't forget that past account holders have had their accounts reactivated until the 17th of January, so you can experience the efforts that are being made to improve the game first-hand.
