Isabelle, Animal Crossing: New Leaf's helping-hand extraordinaire, and Mr. Resetti, champion of game resetting ethics, are both potential teammates in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, provided you're willing to dress up Felynes for either cameo. Capcom Unity paired the announcement with a trailer of both characters in action, which is waiting for you after the break. Felynes donning Animal Crossing outfits won't break the illusion with their meow-based language either – when worn, the Isabelle and Mr. Resetti costumes seem to grant instant fluency in Animal Crossing Gibberish. Players will also be able to make Isabelle's clipboard and Mr. Resetti's pickaxe, because where would either character be without town ordinances or find-you-anywhere tunnels? Capcom Unity's post encourages fans to look forward to these costumes as well as "other special collaborations" when MH4U's massive wildlife prowls the States in early 2015. Hopefully those "other" crossovers will include the Mario costume released for the vanilla version of MH4 ... Update: Our cautious optimism toward Link's tunic and weaponry was needless, as the hero's equipment has been confirmed for the Western release of MH4U, as reported by IGN. [Image: Capcom]

Nintendo of America confirmed the crossover Mario Kart 8 DLC packs spotted yesterday on the company's UK site, with the Zelda pack due to launch stateside in November and the Animal Crossing one in May 2015. Both packs will be available for pre-order starting today, each priced at $8. However, if you know you're going to get both, you can save 25 percent by ordering the $12 two-in-one bundle. The saving doesn't apply if you buy both packs separately, unfortunately. On the flip side, anyone who buys both packs unlocks eight new colors of Yoshi and Shy Guy "immediately," in case you're in immediate need of some technicolor racing.
