Gamestop's Black Friday circular has supposedly leaked its thick, viscous deal-goo all over the internet, exposing the retail chain's plans for the most excruciating shopping day of the year – just don't expect any deals on that new PlayStation 4/Xbox One hotness. For everyone staying in this console generation, though, there's some cool stuff going on if you think leaving the house on Black Friday is worth it. You can have your choice of 250-gig PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 for $199.99, the former bundled with The Last of Us and Batman: Arkham Origins, and the latter bundled with Halo 4 and a download code for Tomb Raider. Meanwhile, a Gamestop-exclusive Azure Blue 250-gig PS3/Jak and Daxter Collection bundle can be had for $249.99. For 360 owners, there's also a Gamestop-exclusive Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City boxed set, Dishonored and Splinter Cell: Blacklist at $24.99 each. PlayStation 3 owners can snag Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for $40 and a year of PlayStation Plus for $29.99. The chain is also running a buy-2-get-1 free promotion on all pre-owned items, provided the free thing you pick out is of equal or lesser value. Gamestop is also granting an additional 30-percent in-store credit on all trade-ins, though whether these two offers stack is unknown. There's a lot of other stuff on sale, so while we check on the trade-in value of a human soul, click all up on this to check out the full 12-page circular for yourself.

Assassin's Creed 3 makes a graceful landing in Europe's PlayStation Plus haystack today, headlining September's round of Instant Game Collection entries for the subscription service. The latest entry in Ubisoft's super-selling historical adventure series is joined on continental PS3s by sneaky platformer Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark and the Jak & Daxter Collection, suffixed Trilogy in Europe and comprising The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2 and Jak 3. Two Vita freebies arrive today too: motorbike puzzle-platformer Urban Trial Freestyle and New Little King's Story, the portable follow-up to the Wii original and Joystiq Top 10 of 2009 entry. If you fancy a detour from the traditional silly season flurry of major new releases, this round is another solid offering from the subscription service. As summer inevitably becomes autumn, so does this round of games see some oldies leaf PS Plus. So long Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD, Demon's Souls, Lego Lord of the Rings, and When Vikings Attack, and fare thee well.

Jak and Daxter Collection, which you may remember originally dropped on the PlayStation 3 in February of 2012, has been rated for the PlayStation Vita by the ESRB. Which, you know, is a pretty solid indication of things to come. The ESRB's rating summary for the game, while hilarious in the stilted, clinical way these things always are, also indicates that the Vita version of this collection should include all three games featured in the original. Of course, the port doesn't officially exist until Sony says that it does, so we've reached out to Sony for more information and will update with anything we learn.

Supposedly GameStop is planning a PowerUp Rewards member-exclusive sale from November 1 through November 14 for select Sony PlayStation 3 collections. Titles rumored to be on the cheap include Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection ($10), Jak and Daxter Collection ($10), Uncharted 1 and 2 ($15), God of War Saga ($20), Infamous 1 and 2 ($15), Killzone Trilogy ($20), the collector's edition of Journey ($15) and Ratchet & Clank Collection ($15). The rumored prices come courtesy of a NeoGAF thread featuring deal-seeking gamers. We called a few local GameStop stores and the employees we talked to said there's no indication on their end a sale is incoming. A few employees mentioned seeing the GAF thread, but had no email correspondence or indication in their system of the promotion. We've followed up with GameStop corporate as well because we totally want this to be a thing. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for $10? Yeah, we totally back that idea.

High-definition goatee news now, with Naughty Dog sharing further details on the disc-bound Jak and Daxter Collection, set to hit PlayStation 3 in February 2012. Most remastered trilogies can match the features boasted by this one, such as 720p resolution, Trophies and stereoscopic 3D support, but none can claim to have this kind of titular escalation. You get Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (subtitle), Jak II (Roman numerals) and Jak 3 (plain ol' numbered sequel). Remastering duties on the Jak and Daxter Collection fall to Mass Media, a company that survived a stint and closure under THQ, where it ported the Full Spectrum Warrior games to PlayStation 2. According to Naughty Dog co-president Evan Well, Mass Media is "working closely with our team at Naughty Dog. A brief reminder of the games being assembled here can be found in the trailer above. We're also reminded to institute a law preventing anyone from writing "duo" if it's preceded -- as always -- by "dynamic."
