Jon Bernthal is your enemy in 'Ghost Recon Breakpoint'
Okay, okay, I know what you're thinking: "Hey, that's The Punisher!" But that, my friends, isn't Frank Castle. It's Colonel Cole D. Walker, the antagonist in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, who's portrayed by none other than Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Walking Dead). In the new installment of Ubisoft and Tom Clancy's tactical shooter video game, Walker is the leader of The Wolves, a group of ex-military Ghosts who have gone rogue and taken control of Auroa, a fictional island set in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Your job as a US Special Operations soldier will be to infiltrate them and end their takeover, which won't be easy because Walker and The Wolves have created an army of powerful, killer drones.
'Ghost Recon Breakpoint' pits you against killer drones
Ubisoft revealed the latest entry in its long-running Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise at a world premiere event Thursday. Set on a remote Pacific island called Auroa, home to a mysterious tech company called Skell Technology, Ghost Recon Breakpoint places you behind enemy lines. You'll be hunted by a group called the Wolves, a group of special ops soldiers who went rogue. They've reprogrammed Skell's autonomous drones to become powerful killing machines.
'Ghost Recon Wildlands' adds free story missions starring Jon Bernthal
Although it's been two years since Ubisoft released Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, the developer isn't quite done with the game. On Thursday, it's adding two free story missions starring Jon Bernthal (The Punisher). Best of all, if you're interested in checking out the latest missions but don't own Ghost Recon Wildlands, it'll be free to play from May 2nd-5th.
Malkovich, Paxton star in Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies
When Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is overrun with zombies, who do you want standing at your side? If you answered "anyone who survived The Walking Dead's zombie apocalypse," "that girl with the gun-leg from Planet Terror," "the general keeping humanity from extinction in Warm Bodies" and "someone with expertise in exoskeletal power armor, like the Master Sergeant from Edge of Tomorrow," we have two things to say to you: One, wow that's a specific list. Like ... really, absurdly specific. And two, congratulations! You'll get all four when the Exo Zombies mode comes to Call of Duty. According to a new teaser (which you can view above), the Exo Zombies mode will feature the talents of Jon Bernthal (Shane, The Walking Dead), Rose McGowan (Cherry Darling, Planet Terror), John Malkovich (Grigio, Warm Bodies) and Bill Paxton (Master Sergeant Farell, Edge of Tomorrow; also Private Hudson, Aliens). Unfortunately, there's still very little of the mode to be seen in action, so chew on what morsels of gameplay video you can before the zombies chew on Xbox-owning brains in January, and other platform owners at a later date.
